Another fold!

I can't remember if I have ever put this fold on my blog -
I am still looking for lightweight Christmas cards so thought this might fit the bill...

First you take a 10 by 5 inches piece of card - this will make a 5 by 5 card.

Score at 2.5 inches, 5 inches and the diagonals which go from the ends of the 2.5 inch score to the centre of the square. Cut off the triangles to square off this end.

Fold as in the picture  - you should find it will lie flat as the bottom left in the red example.

Then it just needs embellishing...

All I did was stick Christmas ribbon along the bottom using double sided tape.
I also stuck the lower triangle down so it stays in place.
I had coloured a Digi Darla image "Holly and Berries" with Promarkers.
I cut this out with an oval die and matted it onto a similar red oval.
I attached berries - red and gold speckled 'Candy Bonbon'.
Finally I added an embellishment from my 'bit box'...

I am going to submit this to Digi Darla's Challenge #88 Berrylicious

Happy Crafting!

  1. Lovely card, thank you for the tutorial too, will have to give this a try! How are you doing in good old Bombay! We are in KL, and I am at the moment in hospital! Just cannot seem to shake the pollution out here! I suppose you have it even worst then me! Be careful of the Mosquitos - bye for now!
    Hugs always ! G
