A Year of ATCs? - Day 120

This is my 120th make for my Year of ATCs?

And my ATCs still have an Easter feel...

It's my fifth make in a set using Ike's images - these were the first four:

Anyway I printed each of Ike's images directly on a digital DP using Serif Craft Artist 2 - the paper is from Dragons Lair. I then coloured them with a variety of markers and my Zig pens. I trimmed them and added them to scraps of pink paper from my stash.
Finally I added a few embellishments, this time a bunny brad, a fabric rose
 and pink raffia...

This image was a freebie on Ike's Art Fan Page on Facebook

A Year of ATCs? - Day 119

This is my 119th ATC in my Year of ATCs

This is another ATC using 'Elmo' which was from the last
Limited Runs Progressive Challenge on Facebook.
Watch out for the current one soon...

Image may contain: text

You might remember my first three:

I started with a pink card blank.
To this I added a freebie paper from a magazine.
I coloured the image with a variety of markers, cut it out and glued it in place along with the feathers. I added my sentiment using words printed on the computer, punched with my tiny tag punch and edged with a Promarker.

A Year of ATCs? - Day 118

This is my 118th ATC in my Year of ATCs

I have used a magazine freebie stamp - a basket - in fact I was given the challenge to 'fill the basket'.

In addition to the basket I used a Stampin Up Hand Knit Stamp Set.
I used a variety of the stamps and masked various areas to put the image together.
I then coloured it with a variety of markers.

I trimmed the image to size and matted it on a beige rectangle.
Finally I added an unravelling bow of wool.

A Year of ATCs? - Day 117

This is my 117th ATC in my Year of ATCs

I have used a magazine freebie stamp - a line of music - embossing it several times with an opaque embossing powder. I trimmed this to a rectangle slightly smaller than 2.5 by 3.5 inches and die cut 3 shapes from it - Paisley or tear-drop shapes from Reverse Confetti.
I added Picked Raspberry distress ink to the background and Peacock Feathers to the inner shapes - leaving these in the shapes until after I added the colour. This means that they have the white rim.

My quote is from 12th Night - If Music be the food of love, play on... printed on the computer, die cut and then distressed around the edges. I added this with a heart shaped brad and then added the whole to a white rectangle.

Orsino is asking for more music because he is frustrated in his courtship of Countess Olivia. He muses that an excess of music might cure his obsession with love, in the way that eating too much removes one's appetite for food.

Digitally Made - Getting Closer to First Challenge!!

Digitally Made is getting closer to its first challenge!!
Digitally Made is a 100% digital crafts challenge blog
and on May 1st
its first challenge will be unveiled.

There is a terrific design team
who are sure to inspire you
with the digital pieces they
create using the monthly themes.

In the meantime,
there is a mini challenge:
create a 100 % digital project
that includes a number on it.
Digitally Made is counting down to going live
with the first challenge, after all !

To celebrate this mini challenge I have put together a digital layout -
featuring my Dad -
who loves a cream cake -
and who was almost 90 when these photos were taken.

I have used papers and elements from Dragons Lair Designs and Serif Craft Artist 2,
in particular from
Artistic Expressions (papers and splats), Garden Paths (frames), Beary Brights (ribbons)

Hope you will take part in this mini-challenge
and then the first Monthly Challenge on May 1st!

A Year of ATCs? - Day 116

This is my 116th make for A year of ATCs?

I started with a cream rectangle matted with an orange one and then layered with a  gelli plate background I had made.
I then added a die cut - again a magazine freebie.
Then I added some tiny tags - my sentiment printed on the computer and then punched with a Stampin Up punch. I added a bit of colour to these with a Promarker.

Finally I added a bird button.

This ATC is the second of a pair - I showed you the first yesterday.

A Year of ATCs? - Day 115

This is my 115th make for A year of ATCs?

I started with a cream rectangle matted with an orange one and then layered with a  gelli plate background I had made.
I then added die cuts - again magazine freebies.
Removing bits from intricate dies can be a bit tricky - but I have just discovered this Sissix pad and brush - it makes it much easier.

Finally I added some tiny tags - my sentiment printed on the computer and then punched with a Stampin Up punch. I added a bit of colour to these with a Promarker.

A Day of ATCs? - Day 113

On Day 85 of A year of ATCs? I made a set of ATCs to swap and the theme was
 "Ripped and Torn"

I have received the swaps...and here's the resulting pocket letter:

I have just made the next set to swap which stand as Day 113 of A Year of ATCs!

Basically 9 ATCs comprising a rectangle of orange card matted with a background I made using bubble wrap and distress ink. I used spiced marmalade to add distress to the edges.
I then added the bird coloured with Zig real brush pens and cut out.
Finally I added bows and buttons in slightly different colourways.

The bird image is Whimsical Lily from Lost Coast Designs which I won as a prize some while ago in the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.

I will link this ATC to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Challenge #35 - this bubble wrap background is a favourite of mine!
