Create and Inspire Midway post

The current challenge at Create and Inspire is continuing for another two weeks!

Our challenge is always "anything goes" and our sponsor is
You might remember my journal page that I made at the beginning of the challenge...find more details here...

Today I have another little inspiration for you - a pair of ATCs:

I used Ike's images Stitchy Katz, colouring them with Promarkers and cutting them out.

For the backgrounds, I mopped up some spritzed 'scattered twigs' distress ink with a piece of white card. I overstamped with a small background stamp and coloured this with a gold Promarker. I cut two small rectangles from this and distressed them around the edges. I then matted these onto yellow card.

I then added the images, some gems and yellow bows...

I will link these to Ike's SUYP challenge - second make, same image!

Do go over to Create and Inspire
and see the winners from last time and the other fabulous DT makes.
I look forward to seeing your creations in the Challenge!

The current Challenge (#66) is "Be Independent"...and this is my midway post...

For today's make I have used the freebie that is available on
 Ike's World Challenge Blog
"Independence"

I decided to use this in a layout with some photos of my great nephew Lucas...he had had a new bike for his Birthday!

The elements I used to add to the layout are from Dragons Lair Designs 'Infinate Love'

and I used Serif Craft Artist 2.

I hope you will join in the Challenge over at Ike's World!!

Final GDT spot at Imagine That Digis by Kris

Well - this is my final spot as Guest Designer for
I have loved my three months playing with the super ITDbK images.

This card is

'Just a note' to say 'thank you for having me!!'

You can find all my 3 months' makes for ITDbK by scrolling down the posts from here

Today's card once again follows the current challenge over at

Challenge #5 runs until July 1st and is to use this tic tac toe:

Just as in my card on Saturday I have used Kris' Romance Set 1 papers and Jammin Janey

Inspired by the tutorial for a starburst card  that I recently saw online, I made another starburst background, this time on a smaller rectangle. I cut various rectangles from the Romance 1 papers, cut them in half and arranged them as shown. I then trimmed the edges and layered this onto a slightly larger rectangle.
I added this to a scalloped white square card blank, matted with black.
I had first tied around the twine.

The next step was to go to 'Jammin Janey' and find a sentiment.

I cut this out, matted it on black and added the finishing touch to the card,

which uses Sentiment, patterned paper and twine.

Hope you will join in the Challenge!

Outlawz Progressive Challenge

The image for the Outlawz June Progressive Challenge is from Beccy's Place.

It is from Gran's chair set

Beccy offered both the coloured version and the line drawing of this image.
To start off with I played with the coloured version
and Serif Craft Artist 2 to make this layout:

This uses elements from Dragons Lair Butterfly Garden
and a photo from my sister's wedding back in 1973.

I also used the line drawing, colouring it with Promarkers.

I used a white card base matted and layered with yellow card and a Little Claire DP.
The final touches were to add a sun and a banner from my stash.
I will link this to the Challenge at Outlawz...

From the Heart Progressive Challenge

This month's Progressive Challenge at From the Heart is to use this image:

I printed and coloured the image with Promarkers and printed the top right sentiment
 (very small) three times.
I used these to make a trio of ATCs:

Each base was a scrap of yellow card matted with a yellow DP - I then added the image and sentiment and topped the lot with a clear printed acrylic sheet attached with a couple of brads in each case.
I then added some stickers from my stash...

I will link this set to the From The Heart Progressive Challenge
