New Release at Imagine That Digis by Kris

I have just realised that this post didn't appear as scheduled - sorry that it's late!

I wanted to show you my make with the newly released collection

Of course, as a child of the 60s, I remember all this!!

Here is my card:

I decided to make a simple gatefold card using a 4 inch strip from a 12 by 12 scored at 2, 4, 8 and 10 inches. I matted each fold with papers from my stash and then added Hippie Aud, precoloured and cut out, to the right hand side.

I then added many of the sentiments from the collection, printed and die cut into different shapes.

Remember there is still a little time to enter the current
 Imagine That Creative Playground challenge...

Create and Inspire Inspiration

Today a new challenge starts Create and Inspire !

Our challenge is always "anything goes".
This time our challenge is a little different as it is
"Just For Fun"

I have a tag for you today:

I like to play with mixed media - and in this I have used paint, sprays and distress ink forming several layers in the background. I have then overstamped with a script stamp in turquoise and an image stamp in black Stazon.
Finally I added ribbons,a feather, a die cut flourish and a bow!

I have decided to step down from the Create and Inspire Design Team so this will be my final make for Create and Inspire. I have enjoyed using all the images from the sponsors -
 Thank you very much!
- and I have enjoyed working with and being inspired by the team!
I am sure I will meet you again around blogland!
Bye and good luck to you all!

Ike's World Challenge #68

Today I would like to show you my make for Ike's World Challenges!

The current Challenge (#68) is "A Little bit Sketchy"...and this is my midway post...

Here is the Sketch to use:

You can make a card, journal page, mixed media etc. and  use it straight as is or flip/rotate etc. so long as the basic sketch design is still visible.

For today's make I have used the freebie that is available on

It is a Journal page using Kat Kite printed on red card with a little touch of Promarker and googly eyes.

My background is red color burst paint puffed onto pages spritzed with water.
The border is peacock feathers distress ink through a stencil.
I printed the words to the song on the computer.

I changed the three shapes into a nesting die shaped oval. I had to move the third farthjer away because of the centre spiral.

Each shape had a cat and twine attached. The ends of the twine were curled around.

Sunday Showcase in the Dragons Lair

Today another Dragons Lair Designs Sunday Showcase has been posted.

You can enter your Dragons Lair make to maybe win a prize...

and also grab a freebie...this week it's this mini-collection:

Dear Dad

Appropriate for me at the moment as my Dad is very much on my mind.
We went away for a few days last weekend and came back on Thursday morning
-  to find my Dad in hospital.
He had fallen on Wednesday night and the paramedics decided it best for him to be admitted. He has had lots of tests which have all come back normal but they won't discharge him until he is steady on his feet...so the route to the hospital is becoming very familiar!

I decided to use this minikit in the Sunday Showcase
showing a few recent photos of my Dad - and Mum...

I used Serif Craft Artist 2.

Looking forward to seeing your make in the Dragons Lair!!

And take a look next Sunday for the new Showcase...

Happy Crafting!!

LOC Challenge #140

Challenge #140 starts soon at LOC  "LOC"

Our sponsor is Shadow Clocksy

and I have used Alias the Demon on a trio of ATCs

You may remember last week when I used  Limited Runs Deadly Cupcake
to make 3 ATCs.

Once again I printed the image on a pearlescent card so the markers look smudgy!

The backgrounds are red card matted with embossed spider web paper.
My final touch was to draw on a spider and a line of web.

This week's Challenge at Wicked Wednesday is Hair Do - so I decided to colour these 'hair do's' in unusual colours - and submit this set to WW#219

Looking forward to seeing your makes in the LOC challenge!

Happy Crafting!

Catch the Bug Bingo

I was delighted to win the special Bugaboo Set
from the Christmas in July Week Long Event.

I was playing with some of the images from this set and combined them on some snowflake paper.

I placed this image behind an aperture cut in a lilac spot card base.
I added glitter around the aperture, snowflake confetti and some star buttons.

The current challenge at Catch the Bug is Bingo

I will link this card with Button/2 or more merged images/Glitter to the Challenge

I was delighted to be a winner with this one - so watch out for when I use my free images!!

Thursday Inspiration for Imagine That! Digis by Kris

Well - I finished my three months as Guest Designer for

But I can still play with Kristy's images - as I am now on the Design Team!!

This first DT make is a slider card which would fit nicely into the current challenge

I am continuing the theme of Christmas in July and am using items from 'Angel Harpist' which you can find here on the website.

I've used the angel harpist (coloured with Spectrum Noir markers)
 and one of the sentiments.

I have also used a paper from Romance Papers Set 1

I used an A4 piece of Christmas red card. Firstly I made a sleeve for the outside of the card.
I cut a strip of card 8.25 inches by 5.5 inches, and scored this from each end at 2 inches and 2.25 inches. This will fold into a sleeve 4 inches by 5.5 inches with a small overlap which can then be glued.

On the front I added DP and the fussy cut image.

On the back I added a strip of DP to cover the join.

The 'postcard' inside started with a piece of red card 3.75 inches by 5.5 inches,
I printed the sentiment and trimmed it to a rectangle with the sentiment towards the bottom.
I then corner punched this and layered it up was various layers of DP and red card.

The back of the postcard has a plain rectangle suitable for a message
with just a sticker - sending you warm wishes.

The final task is to punch a hole through the sleeve and thread though some ribbon.
Slide in the postcard taking the ribbon down the sleeve and then tie a knot with the ends.

If you'd like the 'angel harpist' image from the set free, pop over to the FB group here and you will find the download in the files section.
