Addicted to Stamps and More - Challenge #276

Here's my card for the Anything Goes Challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More

Do pop over and see the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the team!!

Just a very simple card - a hidden 'hello' on a scrap pf Distress Oxide background cut out with a Tonic ATC Collection Die. The 'hello' also came from this set and was cut from the background but then built up on several layers of the same die cut from plain card.

Look forward to seeing your make in the Challenge!

Each post I am hoping to share 'something Poe' I have made in the past ...

and something I have made for this hop...

At one time I was pretty keen on making fat pages -
I remember making a partially Poe inspired fat book...entitled
'Create your art as though no-one will see it but you'

These are some of the pages:

The page I am going to share with you particularly is this one:

Not sure if you can see the stencilled image in the background:

Fat pages lost their appeal and I moved onto journalling.
Today I am going to show you a double page spread that I have not shared before.

I scribbled the quotes on myself -
maybe I should have printed out the words and stuck them on...

Plus, I wrote out the the quote about forgetting something from memory -
 and I forgot a word!!

This page starts with a layer of faux wood effect paper (made using textured paper, glue and Distress Ink).
The top image is a Smeared Ink stamp stamped with black Archival ink on paper from an old book and ripped out.
The cat was die cut using a Tattered Lace die from the same paper and distressed slightly.
Distress Ink is Brushed corduroy

The second page is covered in paper from the old book, with Distress Oxides on top - peeled paint and frayed burlap.
Images are from Smeared Ink, stamped with Black Archival Ink.

I thought you might like to see that I have started using my ATC storage box:

Leigh SB's 2018 Poe Blog Hop - Day 5

2018 POE BLOG HOP

The hop starts on January 19 at 9am PST and is a progressive hop spanning over 5 days.
Sign up not required...simply join the hop at any time before 5 to midnight PST on January 23 to join the fun! The linky is below...

Find more details here

Each day I am hoping to share 'something Poe' I have made in the past ...

and something I have made for this hop...

So first, four old favourites:

1. Using Smeared ink Digis:

2. Using Ike's Poe Skull Bust and a triple stamped moon (Kitchen Sink)

3. Using Ike's Lenore and Poe Paper Background
plus an unknown rubber stamp from my stash
4. From a Creepmas album, using Smeared Ink rubber stamp
and a vintage Santa (again unsure of the origin)

So now onto the last part of my wooden whisky box - the inside...

Again I covered top and bottom with a paper from a Tim Holtz idea-ology paper stash, and then added an assortment of elements again using images printed on a grunge/steampunk paper from Imagine That Digistamps and matted on black card.

Again I have used Ike's Poe's Death bed

Poe is from Vera Lane Edgar Allan Poe

Someone mentioned we seem to be having a lot of ravens this year - so here's a cat - my favourite cat digi from Smeared Ink.

Next we have Leigh's Oddleigh Raven Nevermore

The next ATC is stamped with archival ink using a Smeared Ink rubber stamp
(sadly a company who no longer trade)

And last but not least I have Ike's Raven Poe

I attached these to the inside of my box...

Quite pleased with my box!!
