Here's my card...

Recipe:

1. I started with a white square card blank.
2. I added a layer of white embossed card using the Sissix tree embossing folder.
3.  Around this I put a border die cut using the Tonic Nordic Christmas die.
4. I upcycled a white Christmas tag next and added 3 large white pearls.

Today I am sharing a tag:

Recipe:

1. Chipboard tag covered with a Tim Holtz paper distressed around the edges with seedless preserves.

2. Lace ribbon added along the side.

3. Image, Leigh SB's The Winter Raven coloured with Copics, cut out and edged with grey. 

4. Feathers and ribbon to finish.

I wonder what you think of my colour choices...

Addicted to Stamps and More #325 Photo Inspiration

Here's my card for the Photo Inspiration Challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More.

It looks as though we are getting into Valentine season 
- always special for me as February 14th is our Wedding Anniversary!

My card is basically a square white card matted with olive green card then a watercolour DP. I followed these with a heart shaped stitched die cut, again in olive green and then the image cut with a smaller nesting die.

Today I am sharing this set of ATCoins - brown card, scraps of DP from a Fabscraps 12 by 12 on which I had stamped the ravens and wing (Smeared Ink stamps - unfortunately they are no longer trading) and distressed using Scattered Twigs.

I used the digi from Lizzy love (Oddball Stamps) for the backs of the ATCoins.

The young man seated on the right—known for his keen interest in natural history, chemistry, and phrenology (not to mention his writing talent)—is Edgar Allan Poe.

So thinking of Poe's interest in such things, today's makes feature fossils...

I attended a workshop by Andy Skinner last year and was inspired to make this tag, using acrylic paints, crackle medium and stamping with archival ink:

Today I made this set of ATCs - brown card, scraps of DP from  a Fabscraps 12 by 12 on which I had stamped the fossils and distressed using Scattered Twigs.

#115 Spin The Butterfly Wheel with the Letter Y.

This is the wheel for the current Butterfly Challenge:

My make today is a little different from usual - I have made a triptych of miniature ATCs - each one is just 1.5 by 2.5 inches.
I have used Butterflies plus Yew plus my choice (wooden embellishments) - Prize #2

I started with a brown card for each base and matted these with a paper made by a friend of mine (using leaves and stained with tea - I think the result was pretty yew coloured, although the photos don't really show it)
I then added wooden embellishments.

Yesterday I reminded you of my Poe ATC box which I made last year -

Today I will start by showing you another favourite 'Poeject' (from 3 years ago)

Details of how I made this are as follows:

The frame is plywood cut to shape, burnt using a technique I have mentioned before and varnished.

For the canvas: Step One...Spray canvas with walnut stain through a Clarity Stencil and leave to dry.

      

Step Two ...Add texture medium through a Creative Hands (Dubai) Stencil and added extra texture with a Lost Coast Designs Fern Background stamp and leave to dry.

Step 3 - Spray with Perfect Pearls Mist in mandarin.

Steps 4 and 5 - Stamp with Smeared Ink rubber stamps - Poe and Nevermore - emphasise with Black marker and black paint. Add Sissix texture and raven dies cut in black tissue with Mod Podge lustre glue.

Step 6 - Place behind frame...

But now back to my ATC box:

These two ATCs from inside the box feature Leigh's Poe Love and Distressed Splatter Heart
I foiled these and added them to marbled backgrounds, trimming the pieces as shown and adding Scattered Twigs Distress Ink.
I used a purple card as the ATC bases.

Today I added this ATC to the box. 
This is brown card followed by a scrap of Vintage DP from Fabscraps. I overstamped this using a Smeared Ink stamp and then added Poe (Tim Holtz ephemera).
I used Scattered Twigs Distress Ink around the edges.

To start I am just sharing pictures of my Poe ATC box that I made last year -
hopefully over the next few days I will have some new makes to show you.

For my box I started with an empty wooden whisky case - just right for upcycling!!

I discovered the box was just the right size for ATC storage!

Anyway, first I covered top and sides with a paper from a Tim Holtz idea-ology paper stash, distressed round the edges with black soot.

I then started decorating this with images printed on a grunge/steampunk paper from

 Imagine That Digistamps and matted on black card.

The raven and sentiments are from Vera Lane Edgar Allan Poe

The next set are stamped with archival ink using Smeared Ink stamps (sadly a company who no longer trade)

I attached these to the sides of my box...

 I then added the images on the top. I printed these on the grunge/steampunk paper from Imagine That Digistamps and matted them on black card. I then used a variety of markers to add colour.

The middle element on the top uses Ike's Poe Death Bed,.

On the right of this I have an ATC using a sentiment from Vera Lane Edgar Allan Poe

And to the left - of course - Leigh's Oddleigh Edgar Allan Poe

This is the top of the box...

I added a heart embellishment which just seemed to be destined for this box...

Next the inside - again I covered top and bottom with a paper from a Tim Holtz idea-ology paper stash, and then added an assortment of elements again using images printed on that grunge/steampunk paper from Imagine That Digistamps and matted on black card.

Again I used Ike's Poe's Death bed

Poe is from Vera Lane Edgar Allan Poe

And then my favourite cat digi from Smeared Ink.

Next we have Leigh's Oddleigh Raven Nevermore

The next ATC is stamped with archival ink using a Smeared Ink rubber stamp
 (sadly a company who no longer trade)

And last but not least I have Ike's Raven Poe

I attached these to the inside of my box...

My next task was to start filling it with ATCs - I hope to add a few more over the next few days...
