Share your Design with Gerda Steiner

Share your Design Challenge - March 2020

I came across this 'Happy Easter' freebie from Gerda Steiner Designs and decided to make a quick Easter card for the Share your Designs Challenge

I know I have quite a few Gerda Steiner images - I must have a look on my hard drive...

Here is my card: - very quick and easy!

Recipe:
1. White rectangular card blank.
2. Layers of pink then floral papers.
3. Image coloured with Copics and trimmed.

I will link this to the

Twistoon Progressive Challenge March

I have had this March Hare image on my computer a while now - yesterday I printed it and got out a few Copics. I then cut it out...

I decided to add it to a blue paper on which I had printed the March Hare's words from Alice in Wonderland. I trimmed this adding it to the purplish card and white card blank. I then cut out teacups using my Cricut.

Next I coloured  Love at first wipe and also cut it out.
I combined this with some papers from My Life Handmade paper pack on a white card blank.
I then printed and added the sentiment.

A bit difficult to photograph in the sunshine!

Limited Runs Progressive Challenge #35

This is the current progressive freebie image on Limited Runs Stamps Facebook page.

Plenty of time to join in with this one!

I have made an ATC...

I printed the image and coloured it with Copics, with my small selection of colours - most of my stash is somewhere in our shipping (last seen near Hong Kong). I cut this out and added it to a base of green card and patterned paper - from the scraps I have collected so far...

I then wanted an embellishment - my daughter found this Mario key chain for me - I am very short of little gnomes, fairies or even suitable stamps!! But my daughter says there are similar mushrooms in the Mario games anyway!

Playing with my Cricut Maker

I now have had my Cricut for 2 weeks.

With the help of Jennifer Maker's Craftalong Challenge , I have been making a new project every day, learning different techniques and finding out what the machine can do.

Day 12 and 13 involve using vinyl - I only have one small roll of black vinyl and a small roll of release tape in my stash - so I have sort of combined the days.

I used Ike's Witch Silhouette and the star within the Design Space to cut a witch and 5 stars in black vinyl.

I then looked at the canvasses I had to hand and added the images to them.
These had been coloured with acrylics.

As the vinyl is glossy, it was pretty difficult to photograph.

I decided this background was too busy - so this was my next version.
As we have just moved to Australia, the stars are supposed to suggest the Southern Cross.

I happened to look at Ike's Show us Your Pussycats Challenge
I discovered that Ike had a freebie silhouette lion on offer - part of the animal alpha Silhouettes.

Thank you for this,IKE!!

I decided to give this the Cricut treatment - but with black card.

I made this into a card - white card blank, layer of blue card, circle of yellow card (the sun), the lion and a die cut of flowers.

My daughter and I had been playing with alcohol inks on yupo...

I used one of these backgrounds to die cut the floral frieze.

I will link this card to Ike's Show us your Pussycats Challenge #52

Finally - something in everyone's thoughts...

V is for View Master card Mark 2

OK so I had to make another one...

The theme for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge #139 is V for View Master Card.
and she gives instructions on how to make one here

The wheel is as follows:

In my View Master card I was trying to choose papers with Vegas Gold ...

Again I made all the base pieces with my Cricut.

I then decorated it with some floral paper from a Francheville Summer Life 6 by 6 paper stack. I cut the butterfly flower on my Cricut (svg from Caluya Design). The sentiment stamps in the window are from Happy Little Stampers.

Anyway I will link this to the Butterfly Challenge #139

I am also going to link this to

V is for View Master card

The theme for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge #139 is V for View Master Card.
and she gives instructions on how to make one here

The wheel is as follows:

This time my card is a View Master card. I was trying to choose a Veridian card for the base.

I made all the base pieces with my Cricut. They look a lot greener in these photos!

Once I had decorated it with some floral paper (Spring Flowers?), stamped sentiments and butterflies in the viewing circle, I added a die cut honeycomb and bee.

Anyway I will link this to the Butterfly Challenge #139
