Find inspiration in the song or rhyme:

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
Since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Shows no signs of stopping
I brought some corn for popping
Lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

When we finally kiss goodnight
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home, I'll be warm

The fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we're still goodbye-ing
But as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

My inspiration was the word 'snow'

I started with a white card blank and added layers of silver and blue card.

The image is Nuthatch in the pre-coloured version. I printed it and die cut it with a scalloped circle.

Gecko Galz Stamp Challenge

At the beginning of the month I mentioned all the Gecko Galz Challenges - But I still haven't shared my take on the new stamp challenge...

Do check for the June challenges which will be available soon...

The NEW Stamp Challenge provided an image to be used as a background...
I added colour with shimmery water colours, cut a piece for the background, added purple card as layers and cut further butterfles to ad to the band.

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #498

This is my make for the

Do pop over to the Color Dare Challenge and take a look at my teamies' makes!

This is today's colour scheme -

I used purple, blue and green. gold and black and a black card blank.
Hope you will join the Color Dare Challenge...

I matted the card blank with a piece of white spotted purple paper. I stamped the sentiment on green spotted paper with black soot Distress Ink around it, and matted this on black and gold.
I used a piece of gold card to make a feature on the card with a bottle shaped shaker, containing 'bubbles'. Behind the bottle was a bottle stamped in blues.
The stamps used and bottle some from 'Stampin Up'.

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - Post #12

This is my next inspiration for the Creative Warriors Inspiration Team 2022 - Term 1

with Michelle Grant Designs

You will see our inspirational creations on the Facebook Group

Today I am sharing a journal page which is a mash up of

Silent

The background was brayered acrylic paint followed by collage of a page from 29 Days printed on tissue.

I added the image from Silent printed on brown paper.
I painted her with shimmery water colours.

Finally I added the sentiment, also from Silent.

WOYWW #677

   WOYWW

Wednesday again, so I am linking to the Stamping Ground

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #677

Today is Week 677  (Another good number - 677 is prime!)

And I am looking forward to some happy mail  - and I have sent some off - please let me know if and when they arrive!

This is my workdesk today:

This is the work surface in the utility room - aren't you impressed with how tidy it is?
I cleared the surface putting everything into roll-out tubs underneath. Much more room to work in and the stuff below is not too inaccessible!

I was working on a journal page.  At this stage I had used a brayer to add some colour using watered down acrylic paint.

Apart from that I have been making ATCs... I have a couple of swaps on the go - but I cannot share at this stage. And today I used some of the Gecko Galz freebies to enter a few challenges ( have a look at my previous post to see...)

At the weekend I went to stay with my daughter - we went to see Hamilton which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had dinner beforehand but Sophie couldn't finish her pizza!

I came home to a bit of a  disaster - water coming through the kitchen ceiling. I had mentioned the damp several times to the real estate but this time they actually sent a plumber!!

Anyway, all for now - see you next week...

Happy WOYWW!

Freebie challenges from Gecko Galz

So where has May gone to?

I usually try to do these challenges earlier in the month but somehow things have been a bit busy in the last couple of weeks...

But there are a few challenges that you can still take part in, each with a  freebie available to use...

First there is the
What a sweet image this is - I decided it definitely needed a pink background.

This next make is for the
I made a journal page in my junk journal, starting with a page of old book paper. I stamped this with a wing and skull stamp before adding the image.

Finally the
Again I prepared a junk journal page, layering this with various papers from my stash and then adding the image.

Have Fun!

Addicted to Stamps and More #30 die cuts/stencils

This is my Die cut/Stencil project...for Challenge #430 at Addicted to Stamps and More
Just a simple card - teal glossy card blank plus die cut plus stamped sentiment.
The sentiment is from a box of wooden stamps I once got from the Melbourne Museum shop.

I cut the die from a piece of marbled paper I had made with my daughter:
