My desk today is in my utility room:

I am just about to start a tiny junk journal (about 4inches by 6inches)...

And here are my next two weeks of ICADs

ICAD 15 - 21

ICAD 22 - 28

which brings me up to today. The prompt is 'neon' so I intend adding an ATC sized image of this picture from Melbourne Botanic Gardens at the weekend which had a light display happening.

It was spectacular!

Mind you tonight's sunset was pretty spectacular:

We are really going to miss this view when our new house is ready!

Anyway, all for now - see you next week... hopefully I  will manage to visit you all this week...

Happy WOYWW!

CHNC challenge 600 for 25 June 2022 - use some washi tape

A new Christmas Challenge every Saturday!

Today Crafty Hazelnut brings a new weekly Christmas Challenge
with the theme 'include a snowflake or two'.

Do pop over and see the fabulous inspiration from my teamies!

For this week's cards I have used a page of images from
I printed the image and cut out each picture, placing it on black card.
Today I used a white card blank with a die cut edge. I matted this with black card followed by pink sparkly paper. I added three strips of washi and then two of the images.

Catch Up post

I thought I would share some of the last few posts inspired by Carolyn Dube's playstarted prompts in the Facebook Group

These were mainly on cardboard pages in the junk journal pictured above - but some were in different places. #outrageous gave rise to these pages in one of my small junk journals.

(Also in this journal I added this page using the image from Gecko Galz Steampunk Challenge

This has a background of collaged tea bag papers followed by vintage photo Distress Ink through a stencil' I added the image and a die cut seahorse.)

#wavy is in my large junk journal. This has a Gelli pull background involving acrylics and yarn, a strip of marbled paper, then collages pictures. The main image is from the Nevermore Designs Monthly Gothic Challenge

#reflecting is an attempt at a canvas - this is something I have not done very often. It was inspired by a trip to Winton Wetlands in January.

#jolly - Gelli pull directly onto cardboard page. Added diecuts.

#tough started with a pretty tough background (basically a palette!) I then added collage.

#bad - I decided to just use a quote involving the word bad. The background is a Gelli Pull of several layers - I really liked this!

For #distinct I did some experimenting with cyanotype.

It worked much better on plain backgrounds - but I still quite liked the one where I experimented on a rough background. Added penwork made the images a little more distinct.

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - Post #15

This is my next inspiration for the Creative Warriors Inspiration Team 2022 - Term 1

with Michelle Grant Designs

You will see our inspirational creations on the Facebook Group

Today I am sharing a journal page using

Focus

My journal page features a Gelli plate pull using acrylic paint and yarn. I then added collaged tea bag papers.

I printed the image on tissue from a pattern and painted it with shimmery water colours.

My desk today is in my utility room:

Actually not a lot going on - just some 'pourings' drying... Sophie and I were palying with some pouring acrylic at the weekend - just on a small canvas and bits of acrylic paper.

In the picture of me, I am covered in paint...

I have kept saying I will share some of my ICADs - I think the first two weeks will be enough for this post!

ICAD 1 - 7

ICAD 1 - 14

These are the second week's index cards:

There is a story about 'found' (middle left). In March I ordered a leotard for my younger granddaughter. When I went to stay the other week I asked Isabell how she was going with the leotard and was told by son and girls that it had never turned up. So after checking bank account, Paypal and emails I discovered it should have arrived. I contacted the company - who were amazed that no-one had contacted them before this - and they contacted Australia Post. I couldn't as the tracking number had expired. Anyway the postie explained that he had left it by the pot plant at the front door. So I searched high and low - and high and low again - and finally I discovered the packet in a pile of papers in my son's office - FOUND! And funnily enough this matched the day that 'found' was in the ICAD prompt list.

The middle card is #13 toy. This made me think of paper dolls and I used the free image from

My next picture shows some examples of cyanotype - I have been experimenting with this technique - so the middle right ICAD uses a piece of of this on fabric.

I am just going to share one from the third week - from yesterday

Anyway, all for now - see you next week...

Happy WOYWW!
