WOYWW # 760

It is Wednesday so I am linking to the Stamping Ground

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #760

Actually I have only just realised that it is Wednesday but here's my desk!

On the desk easel is a journal - two pages that I have blogged recently.
Much of the rest is the same as last week!

We have just had three festive days with all the family - this was Christmas Eve:

On Christmas Day we all went into the City for Christmas Lunch

On Boxing Day we all went bowling...

Lovely!

Apart from that Sophie, Kevin and I went to the rain room last Thursday - an art installation. A room full of rain which avoids you as you walk slowly through!

The garden has started to provide lots of produce for us...

and this is last night's sunset:

Wishing you a very Happy New Year... and hope to get around to you all this week...
Happy  WOYWW!

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - Term 3 Post #10

This is my next inspiration for the Creative Warriors Inspiration Team

with Michelle Grant Designs

You will see our inspirational creations on the Facebook Group

This is my second page using using Michelle's Reflective Prelude - the December/January Challenge.

This was the first:

I started with a layer of book paper in my grey journal.

I then brayered the page with different colours of acrylic paint.

I then added the image with gel medium, printed on tissue.

I used  a script stamp with black archival and then painted the image with watercolours.

I edged the page with black paint. Finally I added die cut candles to signify the candles of Advent (Tim Holtz dies) and the sentiments - printed on the computer, drawing round the words with a fineliner and cutting them out.

This was the double page:

Sunday Song and Rhyme Dec 25 - Jan 6

Have you found the new home of the Outlawz Sunday Song & Rhyme Challenge yet?

I do hope you will go and check it out!

This challenge has no sponsors, but you do have the opportunity to win a top 3 or honorable mention badge.

Now on to the challenge!

Our Song/Rhyme this fortnight is from Margaret

I was inspired by
'Beneath the wings of angels'

I have used a slimline blue glossy card blank matted with some Graphic 45 paper. The image is from Gecko Galz. I printed the carol on the computer and cut out some of the verses. Finally I added the gems...

If you haven't already, please join our
to stay up with all the challenges.
Thanks for playing along!

Scrapbookingncraft#6

I was delighted when Mel asked me to join her Design Team. I have enjoyed using stencils, chipboards and serviettes from Scrapbookingncraft for some years now...

This is my next inspiration - another journal page:

Step One
Using my Gel Plate I added paint directly to my journal page in a variety of colours.

Step Two
I used the Moroccan Stencil and Mask set to draw shapes on the background. I then painted round them with black paint. This was based on an idea by Carolyn Dube.

Step Three
I used Neocolour crayons to emphasize the shapes.

Step Four
Finally I added white Posca pen letters to each shape to spell out CHAOS and then the sentiment, stamped on a piece of Gelli pull (Visible Image stamp), a bit of penwork and cut out. I added this on some dimensional tape.

This is my next inspiration - a journal page:

Step One

Using cling wrap I ironed the top napkin layer to card to stiffen it.

Step Two

I used the Moroccan Stencil and Mask set to draw shapes on the napkin.

Step Three

I prepared a journal page by brushing it with water and then adding colour burst powders. I left this to dry.

Step Four

I cut out the napkin shapes and distressed the edges with black soot ink.

Step Five

I glued these shapes to the back ground and Black card Face and butterflies

Step Six

I sponged the sentiment with black acrylic.

Step Seven

I added the sentiment with white glue and painted the edges with black paint.
