Gecko Galz Fantasy Challenge

This is my make for the Gecko Galz

This has a wonderful freebie image:

I made a simple card: a cream base matted with layers of blue, black, gold, black and then the image>

I will add this to the challenge!

Gecko Galz Gothic Challenge

I have made this journal page for the

Using my small black journal I cut apertures in two pages.

I printed the image on white card and vellum. I cut the centre portion from the white card image. I then placed these papers inside the apertures. This meant thar light would shine through the vellum.

I added two sentiments and white penwork.

I will add this to the challenge:

I also added copies of the print, the original and flipped to the pages either side of my vellum window to add dimension to the image.

WOYWW # 795

It is Wednesday so I am linking to WOYWW at Sarah's craft shed

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #795 and my desk...

You can see the journal page on my desk easel which is in my featured post above.

To the front is a freebie image from Gecko Galz, a pile of ATC sized black cards with a couple of ones with backgrounds on the top, a junk journal and another flip album that I have just finished (for Gecko Galz which will be blogged next month). The link for the flip album is here by the way if you didn't get it... There is also a little folder under the scissors.

I have been complaining for the last month that images have been altered by google making them shimmery - for example:

I think I have solved the problem by saving as a png rather than a jpg:

This is a sneak peek of the junk journal above.

I thought I would also share some of the other things I have made this month:

These were a card and ATC for the Visible Image swap.

A card I made for a swap:

A journal page I made for fun:

That's all from me today - hope to catch up with you all later - I only managed a few visits last week!
Happy WOYWW!

Gecko Galz ATC Challenge

These are my makes for the Gecko Galz

with a freebie image set.

I used the ATC backs on scraps of card and then images and sentiments from the image set.

In the first two ATCs I added wings behind the image.

In the final one I used the title as a sentiment.

I will link these to the challenge.

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - New Term #8

This is my next inspiration for the Creative Warriors Inspiration Team

with Michelle Grant Designs

You will see our inspirational creations on the Facebook Group

A week ago the Zoom Craft and Chat with the UK Stampers Network involved a journal page workshop. It is quite a trial for me to get up at 5am - and last week we were looking after our granddaughters so I couldn't make it. However Ann had provided an example and I took this and the prompt 'Flowers and Words' as inspiration for today's journal page.

I wasn't in my craftroom - so I had few craft products. However I found this book in a charity shop for free - with lovely thick old pages. I thought it would be excellent journal. I also found three acrylic paints in another op shop ($1) so I used these for the background - my colour choices were a bit basic!!

Anyway unfortunately I didn't take a photo at this stage but then I came home - and I could use my Art by Marlene markers to add more colour. And then I looked in my MGD scrap drawer and found images to use...

To the background I added a trimmed image from Beautiful

A paper from Book Lover by Elisa torn into strips and some book paper.

I then added flowers from Enough coloured with the markers.

Next I printed a sentiment on the computer and added a blossom from

I don't know what is happening to my photos but saving them with a watermark seems to make them go shimmery and discoloured... I will add some more in a different form - these show the colours better:
