Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #852.
At the front left of my desk you can see a junk journal that I am just about to create a page using the current Conjurer of Dreams progressive challenge image.
Behind this you can see 4 little gift boxes... I was trying out a die.
The junk journal is actually my one of my Halloween projects for this year. I have been taking part in 31 days of Halloween every year since October 2014. I started blogging in January 2013 when it was a requirement of a design team I was in in Abu Dhabi. It is quite interesting for me to look back on those early posts!
Last week I mentioned that I still do some swaps with the UK Stampers Network - the occasional extra swaps as I am not able to do the local ones. Anyway the current swap is for Autumn cards. I
shared the ones I made last week. This is a taste of the ones I have received:
I haven't done much crafting this week as it is school holidays here. We decided to go on a little trip... Our daughter Sophie wanted to go to the
Cactus Country as she missed out when we went earlier in the year.
We saw quite a few pieces of Silo art.
We went on a paddle steamer on the Murray River.
This Dali cow was in Shepparton Botanic Gardens:
Australia likes to create 'big things' - we went to see the giant Murray Cod!
All for now... and hopefully more next week!
Happy WOYWW!

you got some great swaps! I hope you are enjoying the school holidays - great photos. Glad it isn't just me that blogger puts photos where it wants to in posts! Happy WoYWW Helen #3
ReplyDeleteOh I remember the Big Things in Queensland, they were brilliant if bonkers! I really love the silo art, what a great idea to enhance what would be boring buildings. You got a nice lot in your swap there, that must have been fun taking part in that!

What a super trip you had. Hugs BJ#9
ReplyDeleteWow. I do love the surprise of a swap! You got some real winners in there. And such a lot of lovely art on your desk as well :). The journal looks amazing, and yeah, I bet looking back more than a decade of Blogging was an interesting journey. Love the silo art, but that cod slays me!! Stay safe, all.

You have made me think of looking back at some old journals. I used to put the date in the bottom corner so i can soon pick up the older ons - I hope!
ReplyDeleteLove that whale - how fantastic!
Hugs, Neet 4 xx
You made me smile today as my reason for blogging was the same as I was making samples for a company who wanted you to show them on a blog. It's interesting to look back at old projects they often give good ideas for new projects too. That is a lovely collection of cards you've received too. I have to say that is one massive fish!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very happy and creative woyww, hugs Angela x12x
Great photographs. Although the last one is a bit fishy 🤣
ReplyDeleteLove seeing art in unusual places. Happy WOYWW. Angela #13
I marked all the big things I could find before we did our American road trip in 2017 so I could make a collection of photos....we only came across one...world's biggest teaspoon! I love them, they are so utterly crackers! You e had some lovely swap cards I must say, and the thing that struck me most from your photo is the overall colour of the light on your desk....lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour desk always looks so interesting - the little gift boxes looks sweet and I love the Halloween page - very spooky! You have a lot of lovely cards from the swap - it must be fun receiving them all.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer holidays,
