Butterflies

I am very fond of the butterflies from 'Stampin Up's' 'Beautiful wings'
 - an Embosslit I acquired when I first got my Big Shot...

I usually tie two or three butterflies together with a little twine to give dimension to my project.

This first picture shows a 'Valentine' wall hanging I made recently using Washi tape.
As you can see the heart  at top right features some of my butterflies.

This second picture shows where I have used the butterflies to decorate a Mother's Day card
and also in an ATC involving stitching.

My third picture is a set of ATC's I made for a UK Swap group demonstrating different colours
 - each has a butterfly.

But that brings me to a challenge I saw yesterday

Their 8th Challenge is anything to do with Wings - so I thought of my butteflies -
and this is the card I produced

I also added a butterfly inside and on the envelope.
I used a  'Stampin Up' sentiment from 'Curvy Verses'. The background paper is from an Alla-Prima collection (6 x 6 paper stack), distressed with Tim Holtz 'antique linen'.
The butterflies themselves from scraps from my scrap bags
 - but those papers are My Mind's Eye 'Howdy Doody' papers

Looking round the Crafty Emblies shop I can see all sorts of embellishments I would like to use
 - I particularly like the butterflies!!

What a stunning card. I love the natural coloured backings with those colourful butterflies. The contrast looks beautiful!
