Back in my craft room after the holiday!

Living as an expat, some of the things I miss are the UK seasons.
It always seems strange to enjoy Christmas in the sun as we just did in Australia!
Now back in India, it is constantly hot...

Something made me think of Spring!
I love the emergence of all the lovely spring flowers
And so this is where my crafting led me today...

I noticed this sketch on Fresh Brewed Challenge blog and decided to use it.

I started with a white card blank but then looked in my 'yellow' scrap papers
to make all the layers. I distressed the edges of the first rectangle
then the circular segment with antique linen distress ink.

At the end of 2013 I entered a Glitter'n'Sparkle challenge
and was very pleased to win a handful of digis from the sponsor Stitchy Bear!
This image of daises and butterfly was one - from Delicious Doodles.
I printed it on white card and added a little Promarker and fine glitter. Having cut this out and rounded the corners I mounted it on a nesting die shape. I added three gems and decided I needed a little more - so 'Spring has Sprung' came from a sheet of Bobunny rub on's placed on more of my paper scraps!

I am going to submit this to a number of challenges:

Happy Crafting!

  2. Ssshh Susan, we'd better not let our Canadian and US friends hear about the hot weather you are experiencing whilst they are suffering record low temperatures :-)

Anyway, your card .....oh how pretty it is and how beautifully you have used your prize " Daisies and Butterfly border/frame". Spring is such a beautiful season and you have captured the fresh colours with your beautiful papers. I feel so uplifted seeing this lovely creation.
Good luck in our extended challenge. Ingrid xx ( OSAAT Team )
