LOC - Die Cuts - Midway Reminder

We are now at the half-way point of the current challenge which was to use die-cuts...

I recently became the proud owner of a Silver Bullet die cutting machine.
I am still very much learning with it but having found some free designs at Birds Cards
I cut some lattices and an oval for my DP cards today.

This was my first lattice which I attached to a red square card blank. It is actually from an olive green cardstock.

I had the privilege of using Ikes Art's Poinsettia Fairy.
I coloured this with Promarkers leaving the fairy herself very pale.

I placed the die-cut oval around the image and
threaded an double row of ribbon through the holes.

I then added a layered poinsettia digi (again from Birds Cards) -
printed three times and fussy cut.
My final touch was microbeads on the poinsettia centres.

My second card is a similar idea. This time I used a lattice on a beige square card blank - and this time I was lucky enough to use 'Mirror mirror' from the Stamping Chef

The digi was mainly coloured with Promarkers - including metallic gold for the mirror frame and cool grey 1 for the mirror. It was then placed on a red oval, cut using a nesting die.

As opposed to the very pale image of my first card I wanted to make this one very colourful!

I also printed the digi several times on green and red card to layer up my flowers as I did with my poinsettia before. Here I distressed the red petals with 'shabby shutters'.

Finally I decided it needed a speech bubble...I used an oval nesting die to partially cut this then used my scissors!

I am going to submit this to

Sarah Hurley 365 -challenge #90 - use a speech bubble
