The current Challenge (#42) is "Not a Square"...and this is my midway post...
I used this image from Ike - Flower Square - coloured with Spectrum Noirs, printed to be 5.5 inches square, 3 times.
You may be wondering why I am using a square when the challenge is "Not a Square".
This is what I did with it...a triangular pop-up card!
I hope you will join in the Challenge over at Ike's World
You may be wondering why I am using a square when the challenge is "Not a Square".
This is what I did with it...a triangular pop-up card!
Method
1. Cut three 6 by 6 squares in turquoise card. Score the diagonals.
2. Turn the square through 45 degrees. Cut along one diagonal to the centre. Score down the centre of the bottom triangle and cut a tab in the one above. Three pieces are needed like this.
3. Fold the main diagonals as valley folds and the lower vertical as a mountain.
4. Now for the decoration. Cut the printed images in half to make 3 large triangles and then the rest in quarters to make 6 smaller triangles. Fold one large and one small triangle and attach as in the photo and stick the tab. I used Cosmic Shimmer glue.
5. Stick the three pieces together.
6. Use double sided tape to add ribbon which will tie the card together to place in an envelope.
7. Add the final two triangles (one will be left over).
8. Add some embellishments...flowers and bows.
And this is how it finishes up...
Happy Crafting!
