I am going to show you a journal page spread, parts of which you have already seen!
My journal contains many pages where I have started a background in some way or another - and they are waiting for the next layers!
This spread started by spritzing with water and then spraying with color burst powders. I decided to slap the pages together and see what happened...remember those blot painting butterflies you made when you were a child?
I then added Seedless Berries Distress Ink around the edges.
So what next?
To the left hand side, I added two see-through layers - pink mesh first
....then pink vellum and an image from SLSLines
Brain Freeze Dreamscape coloured with Promarkers, cut out and matted on purple card:
This you will see on my SLS Inspiration for the Current Challenge at SLS.
I then decided to add some ATCs...this is the right hand side with them just laid in place:
This was my LOC inspiration for the Current Challenge at LOC
using images Howlin Helen and Incy Wincy from the Goblyn Workshop.
The ATC I added on the left hand side was like the many I made for a recent
Pocket Letter which I linked to Lost Coast Portal's touch of Neon Challenge - I sent out lots as ATC swaps! The image is a mini cracked critter from Lost Coast Designs.
I added some more pink vellum over this ATC.
I wanted to link the pinks and turquoises of the two pages so my final add was a tag to the right hand side.
This was a background made by mopping up paints and sprays used in other makes and then distressed around the edge.
The lines were made by soaking a piece of string in paint then drawing it across the tag several times. This was a technique we learnt at the recent UK Stampers Network Retreat.
I then overstamped with a face stamp in black Stazon.
The face 'sees through' the ATCs!
So the final spread is this:
I will link this to Lost Coast Portal's Challenge #25 - Use Something See Through
Happy Crafting!
