Less is More...

In the middle of ironing and mopping floors I decided I needed a little respite...
and also to make a couple of Birthday cards...

This is the first - CAS and on one layer.
I found these card blanks in The Works the other day and thought they would add a little extra interest to a one layer card...they are pre-diecut with Happy Birthday.


Using Hero Arts Cornflower Shadow Ink I have stamped two stamps directly on the card blank:

Penny Black Brush Lily - one of my favourites and one I often come back to...


I am going to link this to the following challenges:

Less is More #315

(One layer card and opposites attract
 - is this being too obscure with the open aperture from the diecut versus the stamped image?
I was also thinking the geometric stamp versus the floral...)

    Lovely card Susan! I can't tell what the "opposites" are for our challenge (probably just me?!) but I do like the effect of the die cut letters with the offset stamping, and that certainly is a beautiful lily stamp <3 Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)

      I agree - it's pretty vague - I was thinking the open aperture cut by the die cut opposite the stamped image ...I enjoyed taking part anyway...

    Super card Susan. So glad you clarified what the opposites were as I would have been scratching my head - but you have been very clever with the theme! Love the colour combo and the soft stamping against the crisp die cut is gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Less is More xx
