House of Cards January Challenge

Welcome to the House of Cards January Challenge!
Happy New Year!!
 The current challenge is
Mixed Media and/or Colours

What a pretty colour swatch!!

I made two cards inspired by this theme:

Both started with a green card base, sections of pink card and a background made with Brushos through a stencil.

I used the Brushos and stencil technique on the following video - on today's cards I just used the basic backgrounds without the extra embossing.

The leaf stencil is from Craftstash

the stag stencil is from funky fossil

The first card has a layer of pink card then the background trimmed to size.

'Happy' is a Tonic stencil cut with the first layer in pink and then the top layer in more of the background.

The second card features a Tim Holtz tag die cut in pink with red ribbon.

'Enjoy' is a Tonic die and the other dies are from an unnamed set - all cut from some of the Brusho background.

Thanks for joining us at House of Cards! Do take a look at the fabulous inspiration from the rest of the team!

I prefer the first card, my daughter prefers the second - which do you prefer?
