Happy Little Stampers - Mixed Media March Challenge

Do pop over to Happy Little Stampers to see the fabulous inspiration for this Challenge!

When a friend is far away and they have lost a loved one,
one of the things I like to do is send a card...

This card started with a cream card base die cut with an arched window.
Behind the window I placed a stencilled image using the Craftstash die
Stained Glass Rose Window

For this card I have used the die as a stencil with an aubergine sprays.

The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers  Doodled Flowers stamped with black Versafine.

Hope you will join in the challenge!

I would also like to share two more Mixed Media makes with you today.
Last weekend I went on a Tando Mixed Media Crafty Retreat with friends.

The workshop demonstrators were Di Oliver, Andy Skinner and Hannah Oxberry.

In Hannah's workshop we made mini-books.
The book cover involved layering up chalky finish paints, introducing wax resist and rubbed back techniques. Then crackle medium and washes were added to further age the look.

The frame to the front photo was embossed with a mixture of gold and silver embossing enamel.

In Di's workshop we started with a package of laser cut MDF and greyboard.

After a lot of painting and different techniques (using washes, embossing of greyboard, one step crackle, antiquing cream and more) on the panels this became this box:

I will talk about Andy Skinner's workshop in a later post...

Happy Crafting!
