So when I got home I used similar techniques to make my two tags for

a Tando Mixed Media Crafty Retreat with friends.
I said I would talk about about Andy Skinner's workshop in a later post...
On the first day of the retreat we made these -
the decorated notebook and tag were from Andy Skinner's workshop.
The process of decorating this book started by attaching chipboard pieces.
Next came gesso, one step crackle medium and various acrylics and water based oil paint.
It was rubbed down to add a distressed look.

My large tag has chipboard pieces and layers of acrylic and crackle medium.
The sentiment is from Graciellie Designs Friends Set.
This was printed on paper, stuck in place and then the whole was distressed with antiquing cream.

The small tag has similar layers and is over stamped in archival ink with a magazine freebie stamp.
Gorgeous projects, Susan, looks like you had a great time. I've booked to go on an Andy Skinner workshop in June. I know I'll be totally out of my comfort zone! xx
