Addicted to Stamps and More - Anything Goes #296

Here's my make for the Challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More

Do pop over and see my teamies' makes!!

My card is a slider/twisted easel card.
I used a beige card base with an extra square of beige to make the basic card and then matted this with a freebie paper from my stash.

I used yellow card to form the slider section and the easel stand.
The image that slides along is from Craftstash Wishes coloured with Zig real brush pens and cut out.
The sentiment that is revealed is also from Craftstash.

Hope to see your make in the Challenge!!

Happy Crafting!

  1. Wow Susan, I really love this pretty card. There is so much interest with having the slider AND the twisted easel part! I love how part of the sentiment is hidden to be revealed when you slide the image over.

  2. Wow Susan, that's such an original card, I've never seen anything like that before! Do you have a video of how it works? How does it slide? I would love to know more. Hugs, Gwendolyn

    1. I have made a video for the twisted easel card - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTSpAyMlcrg

To make the slider element, the scalloped oval has two horizontal slits cut into it and is then attached with dimensional tape.

Behind the slots are placed 4 circles - two behind the top slit, two behind the lower one. These are placed about the width of the image apart. I put dimensional dots on these circles and then attached the image. This will then slide across the slits. I added the sentiments to be revealed in the two positions of the image.

I used a similar mechanism in the card in

  3. Do you have a link for the slider piece?
I've not seen one so large and with the
    scallops. The card is beautiful.
Have to make one of these easel cards.
Keep saying that and not doing it.
Going to be this afternoon's project.
    thanks for sharing.
