Mini Fold Out Album

If you were not fortunate enough to participate in the
UK Stampers Network
Crafty Retreat (CR2) in June
then you will not have seen my workshop on how to make a Mini Fold Out Album.

Here are the instructions:

Materials and Equipment

3 12 by 12 sheets of cardstock - plain or patterned. It does not really matter as you will be embellishing these. You might like to leave some of the patterned areas unadorned as a feature.
Patterned Paper.
Photographs.
Scoreboard and bone folder.
Paper Trimmer.
Adhesive - I have used a combination of white glue (Cosmic Shimmer) and double sided tape.
I have also used my Bigshot and dies to embellish.
You might want to add a strip of ribbon to hang the card.

Method.

Take three pieces of 12 by 12. Fold each in half each way (mountain folds) and then across one diagonal (valley fold). You can use a score board but I just folded it, pressing creases well with a bone folder.

Fold into a square with the two sides folded in - like so:

Glue the three pieces together making the second set the opposite way up to the others.

This will then fold up like the next photo:

Next add squares of card 5.75in square to the front and back and start embellishing. I have used the Tonic Jigsaw Set for my cover and for some of the embellishing.

Add patterned paper to each square and triangle before the photos if you wish. Trim your photos to appropriate sizes. The triangle papers are half a 5.5 inch square.

I wanted to use this particular mini-album as a Birthday gift from my Mum and Dad to my Uncle Bill who was 90 yesterday. I used various dies for the 'happy 90th Birthday'.

On the back cover I added a couple of white jigsaw pieces for writing on...

Next I started adding photographs...here are Mum and Dad with the finished album...

Finally I added a ribbon so it could be hung:

And here is Bill looking at his album:

Happy Crafting!!
