I will be sharing today's Halloween make on Leigh's page...
~~~~~~~
The other day Ike said she thought I was aiming towards another pocket letter with all these ATCs - well she was correct to some extent because first I made an ATC flip book...
but actually I had planned to make an Mini fold out Album / ATC holder out of a 12 by 12 - like I did earlier in the month (Day 17). Some of you asked for more details...so here's version #2:
I took a double sided piece of 12 by 12 - this is from Magic Moments from The Works.
I scored it horizontally at 4in and 8in and vertically at 3in and 9in.
On the back two middle sections I stuck double sided tape and then ribbon.
As I was going to St. Ives, I met a man with seven wives, Each wife had seven sacks, Each sack had seven cats, Each cat had seven kits: Kits, cats, sacks, and wives,
How many were there going to St. Ives?
I've been forgetting to link to other things!! I will also link this to
I took a double sided piece of 12 by 12 - this is from Magic Moments from The Works.
I scored it horizontally at 4in and 8in and vertically at 3in and 9in.
I cut slits as shown and folded tabs on the top and bottom side pieces.
I used narrow double sided tape to stick these down to make the pockets.
Next I cut pieces to fit the middle section - I used papers from Making Cards and Papercraft June 2018. As this is relatively thin, I used two thicknesses - the underneath paper upside down.
Once again I folded flaps down - the middle section by cutting a slit half way down the middle and folding the flaps back.
Now it's time to decorate and finish...
On the back two middle sections I stuck double sided tape and then ribbon.
The next pictures show the finished item with ATCs inserted:
The outside two sides have postcards attached - each showing the riddle
In keeping with the rhyme I wanted to decorate the rest with many cats and include cat ATCs.
And because it's almost October 31st, there is also a Halloween influence...
on opening there can be seen a Tattered Lace die cut cat, Tim Holtz ephemera, stamped cats, pumpkins and tree from a stamp set in my stash which no longer has any label, the spider web and spider SU..
This year I am joining in with the 2018 Cat Lovers Hop
I just sent you an email with the answer to the riddle. :-D I love all the magical folds! Thanks for the detailed photos. I'm going to try this. Did you also make that crazy cat sitting on the table beside your project? He's fantastic and I'm already studying it to see if I can figure out a way to make one for my own table (which my two felines can then steal and hide somewhere!)
ReplyDeleteThis one is made of metal and purchased. I bought it in an op shop in Australia - just couldn't resist it and had to find room for it in my suitcase to come home! It would be great if you could design a paper one!!
