I will be sharing today's Halloween make on Leigh's page...Day 1
~~~~~~~
Woohoo - almost a third the way through!!
This year I thought I would make a Halloween scrapbook, hoping to share a number of pages with you over the month...
The first layer is a paper from The other Side by Craft Box.
I then started colouring Leigh's image the Grimm Reaper
These seem to be my favourite colour combinations at the moment!
I cut the image into a tag and added scattered twigs distress ink around the edges, with a scrap of twine.
Next I added the tags:
The technique on this first tag is Brushless Watercolour. (Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101)
Method:
As this is my favourite scrap book page so far I will link it to the
The technique on this first tag is Brushless Watercolour. (Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101)
Method:
- Ink stamp with various colours of distress ink.
- Mist with water to allow colours to wick and blend.
- Stamp onto watercolour paper and immediately lift off.
- Dry with heat tool.
- Ink background with Distress Ink using ink blending tool.
The technique on the second tag is Perfect Pearl Distress
Method:
- Choose 3 to 4 colours of Perfect Pearl Mica powder.
- Ink stamp with perfect Medium and stamp onto the tag.
- With small brush pick up powder and tap over image.
- Pounce down with large brush and brush off excess.
- Spray lightly and dry with heat tool to set
I then added the sentiment, diecut to a tag shape, distressed with Scattered twigs distress ink and with a scrap of twine
This is the first verse of the poem The Reaper and the Flowers, written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (after the deaths of his infant son and wife)As this is my favourite scrap book page so far I will link it to the
Dream in Darkness Current Challenge
Please pop by to see more of my 31DOH Halloween makes... and maybe answer some of my Spot Prizes - all your names will go in the hat and prize winners will be announced at the beginning of November.
Happy Day 10 of 31DOH!
You can still email the answer to susanrenshaw0404@gmail.com
to my question 4 on Day 8 - Hint - look at the paper on the ATCs....
I have had various answers to Spot Prize 3 - the meaning of 'Or bed'... On the net this is variously written as 'Or bed' or 'Orbed'.
My take on 'orbed' is that it means a full moon. I think it is written 'Or bed' to give the pronunciation as two syllables - but it could also mean the moon has risen from its bed and is out of bed... what do you think?
