25 Days of Christmas Tags - Day 1

I came across this for the first time last year - and really enjoyed it  - and when it came to Christmas I had more than enough tags made!!

It is hosted by Tracey McNeely and you will find the main hop post here
She works really hard to organise this hop and secures many sponsors!

Last year I didn't get started until the 11th day - this year I made sure I got started on the first day!! Each day I will CASE or be inspired by at least one tag...!

Here is my first tag...

I was inspired by Tracey herself on Day One illustrated here and demonstrated in her video

Recipe:

  1. I used a Tim Holtz tag die (Sizzix Stacked Tags) to cut a tag from a background made from 'Broken China' Distress Ink 'smooshed' on to watercolour paper.
  2. I added faux stitching around the edges using a fineliner.
  3. I cut the bow and mistletoe using dies from Sizzix 'Festive Greens' by Tim Holtz and scraps from my stash.
  4. The Joy sticker is from The Craft Stall 'Festive Foil Statement Sticker Book'.
  5. I added a ribbon, decorated with trees, tied with a fine dark blue ribbon with one bell.

I will link this to the main hop post

Happy Crafting!
