Wouldn't it be nice to go on an Easter picnic...?

Today I had a couple of projects in mind...
  •  I wanted to find out how to use pens with my Cricut
  •  I needed to make an inspirational make for the Oddball Design Team

A black pen was supplied with the machine and I used this in the sample card that came with it. But my daughter gave me a set of 5 pens as part of my Birthday present - so I wanted to find out how to use them...

Having done a bit of research on the internet these were my first examples:

I wanted to use Oddball Art Co's  IMG 36.
First I had to change this into an svg file and then import it into the Cricut Design Space.

Playing around with the colours, I eventually ended up with this:

As you can see the Cricut only gives outlines so I then added extra colour using Copics...

Recipe:
  1. Card base and layering sheets cut with Cricut.
  2. Floral paper from a Francheville Summer Life paper stack.
  3. Image #36 drawn in colour using Cricut, extra colour using Copics,
  4. Die cut beetles using Big Shot and a die from Spotlight, in black and yellow card.
