Fun in the Sun

Earlier in the year I was delighted to win a prize from

The packet took rather a long time to get here (the post from the States to Australia has been taking 6 weeks - but I do think that it is improving...)

And then we moved house - so the stamps have been waiting for an opportune moment...

Today I had a little bit of fun making this card:


I started by making a smooshed Distress Ink background using a variety of colours in oranges, yellows and browns.

I then stamped three stamps from  gsd Catch a Wave along the bottom using black Versafine and added colour with Copics.
I added the sun (a Stampin Up stamp from Amazing You) and the sentiment (part of darkroom door's Seaside Word Block Stamp) using orange card behind the sentiment and the main image. The base was a small square white card blank.
