Cat Lovers Hop Day 1

This is my first make for the Cat Lovers Hop.

I am joining in with the 2020 Cat Lovers Hop

Do pop over and find all the details on Janis' Her Peaceful Garden blog

In the last couple of years I have shared a dozen or so kitty makes in the hop, but this year it is limited to 5.

Anyway like last year, I thought I would share some more vintage Halloween
postcards from Vintage Image Craft
This is the first - with a cat in the tree!

Today's make is a little unusual.
The other day I took part in a Facebook Online Workshop with the London Drawing Group.
Henri Matisse Online: Painting with Scissors.

I enjoyed cutting pieces from various pieces of patterned paper and some of my painted cards, trying to make shapes that were exaggerated outlines of given images.

I then arranged them in my journal.

Here are my shapes:

I then started rearranging them...

Can you see the cat?

This was my final arrangement:

It might help to point out the cat:

Happy Hopping!

  6. Susan, I had to come over from the Cat Lovers just to tell you how much I love the cat cuddling the arm of the person! I have a kitty who does that when I'm busy crafting. She get as close as possible to me and if I don't acknowledge her, she puts her paws around my upper arm as if to say, "It's my turn! Pay attention." lol

  22. Hi, Susan....
I know...I know...limiting the entries to five really makes a dent in some of our Hoppers' participation. When we get going on makiing kitty things, it's hard to stop!! And of course we want to share what we made! lol... Thanks for being so understanding, though. <3

I really love this creative way of making the art pages!! The entire concept of Painting with Scissors is new to me and so intriguing. You have captured so many fab colors and patterns in your arrangements. I spotted the cat straightway! What a fab project for starting off your Cat Hop entries!!

Thank you so much for participating in the #2020CatLoversHop!
