What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #602

    WOYWW

It's Wednesday again - so I am linking this post to the Stamping Ground.

It has been a very busy week so not much crafting has been done.

I think I managed to visit about half of you last week -  I will try to visit more this week...

Anyway here's my desk picture for WOYWW 602!
Like Julia I could have shown a table covered in wrapping paper - but I decided to share my easel:

I am in the process of doing an abstract - but this is as far as it has got up to now.

The journal page I showed you the start of last week is awaiting the final touches of mark making, and I haven't taken a photo of it yet.

I am also part through another journal page courtesy of Niamh Baly.

I did manage to finish this one though (I think) - the black cut page flips over the back ground page.

So... it was my husband Kevin's 70th Birthday on Sunday.
It was lovely to get most of the family together for a barbecue. Here we are sitting on the lawn:

And we had put up extra lights round the veranda for the occasion (and Christmas).

My Birthday card for Kevin was a multi panel accordion fold with an Australian theme...

I will link this card to

I will be sharing today's seasonal make on Leigh's info page... Day 39, December 16th

Happy WOYWW !!

  1. Happy 70th to your hubby! Great card and so lovely that you were able to have the family around to celebrate. Nice to see your abstract painting, I hope you’ve been enjoying doing that - that is one resolution of mine for 2021, I love painting and do very little...that’s going to change!

  2. It might have been you, or maybe Helen, who mentioned Niamh (why does is sound like she is saying NEVE at the beginning? How DOES she pronounce her name??) NEEma maybe?) and I started watching her. She is so prolific I have treadmill fodder for a YEAR LOL! Loving where your page is going. I saw her cut-out video too and am dying to try it.

    Happy 70th to your hubby!

Happy too close to Christmas WOYWW!

  3. Hi Susan. Happy belated birthday to your hubby. A great birthday card. How lovely to have the family around for a treat! love the lights put up for the occasion... and Christmas...
I thought the contemplative pose in front of your abstract was fabulous - were you wondering what it was all about, or wondering where to put your next mark? I like the shining bright page with that cut out on it - lovely. Well done.
    Take care. God bless.

  8. Lovely card Sue, and happy returns to the man. What a nice way to celebrate, relaxing in the garden seems a long way away today. I don’t think it’s stopped raining and I’ve had lights on in whichever room I’ve been in. Dull. Anyway, Love the black cut out overlay for the journal page, and that you *think* it’s finished. I was going to ask the same about your abstract canvas...how do you know when it’s finished?
