Our garden backs on to the Lakes...I love to see the pelicans!
If you have been reading some of my April posts you will know that when I saw
Effy's Blog Along, I thought I would share some 'diary' posts, along with some of the crafty things that I have been doing. Yesterday I shared a trip to Daylesford with you.
Today Sophie wanted to go to Blue Lotus Water Garden at Yarra Junction, about an hour away. It is almost the end of the season but still an excellent place to visit!
As I walked around I kept thinking that my sister would love this place. I wonder how long it will be before she will be able to visit Australia again, from the UK.
The other day I mentioned the giant lilies at Kew and then the metals ones here in the Botanic Garden here in Cranbourne.
Anyway the Blue Lotus Water Garden also has giant lilies too.
Apparently these gigantic floating leaves can grow up to 10 feet across and can support the weight of a small child.
Sophie and I took rather a lot of photos at this garden - I will share a few!
Another good day out!
But not much crafting today...
Happy Crafting!
My sister lives in Australia, I live in Canada. I wonder when we can visit each other again too.
ReplyDeleteThose gardens are beautiful, and the water lilies are gorgeous

ReplyDeleteLooks like a great day out! Whenever I hear the word pelican I alsways think about the poem by Dixon Lanier Merritt.
