Wednesday again, so I am linking to the Stamping Ground.
My picture for WOYWW #634 is my computer/crafting desk with a journal black gesso-ed and drying. This journal is a cheap book in which I have stuck every two pages together. It does get a bit wibbly-wobbly when wet!
The plan is to add a collage of tiles - these are my random tiles drying...
The blueish one at the top on the second picture, is an image transfer. I used a photo I took at Cruden Farm, a place we visited just before the lockdown started.
I haven't really had a theme for my index cards - generally used just whatever I have found on my workdesk or used a technique that has come to mind. I will post my final ICAD roundup on Saturday - that finishes two months of index cards.
I think index cards have become my 'new ATCs'! I am still making ATCs though - and I will share some I made recently now that the recipient has got them.
And today I am delighted to receive Anne's very pretty 624 ATC!!
Thank you Anne - it's lovely - and I could just eat a strawberry!
a UK friend just received a letter I sent 5 weeks ago.
I have spent much of the last fortnight working in my journals. If you are my friend on Facebook, or see my Instagram, you have probably seen some of the following pictures but I thought I would just share some of my makes:
This was a watercolour having watched a Kaleidoscope taster lesson.
Hope you are all keeping well... hope to visit each of your desks soon...
Wow. What a feast this post is. I really do love it all. I made some ATCs last week as well and always enjoy the small quick pieces but really need to sort out a swap. All of your Wanderlust pieces are fab but the watercolur is really something special - that could totally be a post card for sale. I am having my own watercolour experiments and as usual it isn't going to plan. Oh well. At least I am learning something every time. It's a journey, right?
ReplyDeleteHappy cooler days Desk Hopping!

DeleteWow, black gesso….did it go everywhere? I remember using some black grout for tiling once and it got everywhere, even places you hadn’t been! The Icads are great, especially the spinner ones but I really like the street watercolour you did, it’s really good!!

Only on my sleeve...
DeleteWhat a fabulous collection of art Susan. Your watercolours are so beautiful and delicate - you certainly have a talent with that difficult medium. And I love the journal pages, those orange flowers are stunning. Looking forward to seeing your finished journal with the tiles - they are fab.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week,

What wonderful projects on show today. I am still looking for a salad spinner at the charity shops :). Love the effect of the black die cut against the background. Happy WOYWW Angela #9
ReplyDeleteWatercolour sketch is really lovely! And I was lucky enough to have a strawberry from Anne last week too! Scrummy! Stay Safe! Happy WOYWW!? (Lyn) #15
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative week you have had. They all look gorgeous I hope our restrictions don't go backwards but numbers are still high . Helen #2
ReplyDeleteWow lots of fab projects - you did especially well with the Kaleidoscope lesson! I've looked at that too but didn't even attempt it. Keep up the good work! xx zsuzsa #16
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, lovely watercolours. That first one reminds me of a Randy Newman song Nina Simone sang “I think it’s gonna rain today.”
ReplyDeleteTake care and happy WOYWW

Hi Susan, it's always good to see what you're up to and loving all your projects today . Wishing you a happy woyww. Hugs, Angela x14x
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, love your ICADs, I also like the size after doing my 100 Day Project with ATCs I've been enjoying the space lol. I love your crazy face with the purple hair, she looks so cool! I recognise the Toni Burt lesson from Kaleidoscope, I really love her style, and your painting is fab.
ReplyDeleteFive weeks for a letter to get to the UK is a long time again, what are they doing? When I lived there, my mum's letters took 4 days! Your Wanderlust pages look fantastic, I am so behind with mine, not really in the mood I think. Glad your lockdown is easing up a bit, but at least us crafty people have plenty to keep us occupied! Happy WOYWW! Elle #18 this week
What great projects, Susan. Your watercolouring is excellent! I love the ICADS too and your black journal is going to be awesome. I've been doing some more backgrounds today as well, and some die cutting with the ToDo.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit - yes, do get your ToDo out again! I'm having no end of fun with mine.
Happy belated WOYWW,

Hi, you've had a lot going on this week. I like the ATCs and I especially like the folder you keep them in - a lovely gift to receive. Your pictures are beautiful, I love you watercolours. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #22
ReplyDeleteHi Susan - I hope your build goes well - it was very stressful when we built our house 2 years ago - but once everything settles it is all forgotten - except when sharing stories with friends LOL! Just received my strawberry (ATC) from Anne also - they do look very edible - have a great week - Cheers Maurs xxx #6
