What's on your Workdesk Wednesday? #637

         WOYWW

Wednesday again, so I am linking to the Stamping Ground. Follow the link to find out more and maybe join in...

My picture for WOYWW #637 is in my utility room again.

At the time of the photo this morning I was in the process of white gesso-ing two of my journals. The top one is a small cheap booklet that I have glued together pages in pairs. The larger one is my grey (A4) one that I am preparing for a Tracy Scott workshop that has been on my list for ages.

Mary Anne suggested a flip through of my ICADs so here you go...

Then my next index card make was a little album. This is the video for that:

Last week I shared this journal page which was a Natalie May workshop using Michelle Grant Designs girls.

To stamp those letters I made some foam stamps.

I now need to get some more of that foam for the rest of the alphabet. As everywhere is closed because of lockdown, may have to wait a while - although I can do online...
Very dangerous - so far this week I have had at least two parcels - one was beautifully wrapped like this:

Anyway today I have used another Michelle Grant girl to make this journal page.

I am just about to write up a post on the little journal page that I started above, but apart from that I have done a couple of pages in my small kraft journal.

We still haven't seen our new grandson - and Sophie had to spend her Birthday on Saturday on her own again - second in Lockdown!

Fingers crossed it will do the trick!

Happy WOYWW !!

  1. You're so prolific and I can see you're having so much fun! I'm happy to see that wonderful journal spread again from last week - I'll definitely look up those names you mentioned - those girls are wonderful. The flip-throughs are awesome - it's a good way to show lots things in a short space of time! The foam stamps are a great idea too - and hand cutting them (rather than die cutting) gives them that raw edge (I mean figuratively!) I might make some too! Thanks for all this inspiration! xx zsuzsa #21 PS. I obviously don't want people to suffer, but I really enjoyed lockdown which allowed me to work from home. Saved me three hours each day. It's all back to "normal" here. Lucky I only work part-time.

  6. Susan, LOVE your flip through!! Each and every card is just as good as the last! Such diversity and craftiness! AND.....that little album is soooooooo yummy!! I LOVE it!! Those colors were all me!! I'm not familiar with Michelle Grant, but I love her girls! You really have an awesome journal spread with your homemade foam stamps! Bravo to you on that score!! Those flowers are beautiful in your smaller journal as well! You are just on point this week!! LOL I'm so sorry that COVID is rearing it's ugly head again or still in some countries case!! It is trying to here as well, however, we are still able to see loved ones....at the moment! Blessings for the rest of your week! Felicia #26

  7. There’s a lot of work in those index cards, really beautiful layering. Your little book is lovely too.
I hope your lockdown is effective. We’ve just been left with no safety measures. I mainly stay home or very close to it now.
    Stay safe!

  8. I do hope your lockdown works... in the Netherlands rules got looser and almost nobody keeps distance or thinks about it anymore, it's pretty scary! (I stay at home as much as possible!) I love your art journal pages, those girls are so pretty to look at! Thanks for visiting my desk this week, have a great day/weekend! Love from the Netherlands. Marit #5

  9. Oh those flip throughs are real eye candy for me, gorgeous. Love the base colour of the Icad cards, they seem to influence and hold it all together really well. The album is a charm I love it, especially the little bonus pages and the titles. You are clever. So sorry that Sophie has had a second lockdown birthday, I think she has just cause for a big old party after restrictions. By which I mean a managed, safe outdoor gathering!! Fingers crossed about restrictions, meeting the new boy must be all you think about.

  10. Sorry I am late to the party AGAIN - this conflict with my knitting day is problematic. But thanks for the flip thrus. I always love my visits to your blog. It's one that takes me AGES to read and absorb LOL! Such an amazing variety of ICADS, although I do see some groupings where you had a bit of a theme for a few days. Your little book is fab and I love the way the tabs work when you flip. Nifty!Sorry about the lockdown birthday. It's a pain for sure. I know endless open/lockdown/open/lockdown cycles suck, but even in my small town, people just seem to be burnt out and are beginning to get very lax about the rules. Such a worry.Stay safe and well!

    Happy WOYWW late again

  11. I really love your work, Susan, and I so enjoyed your flip-throughs. Such a great idea. Your foam stamp letters look great.

Thank you for your visit, and for your commiserations over our difficulties last week. My hubby is fine again with just the odd twinge so I'm hoping continuing with our really healthy diet, and the addition of lots more water, will see him right.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
