Blog Along With Effy Post 30

Once again Effy is doing a month-long Blog Challenge on Facebook.

This will be my last share this month!

I showed the stage I was at with Kate Crane's Wanderlust #39 yesterday.

This is how I have finished it:

I have also added to some of the junk journal pages but I didn't take any photos.

My Facebook memory is from 3 years ago - isn't it amazing how tables get covered with stuff and you end up working on one small corner?

I think one of the things I was doing was decorating my calendar - which reminds me that I haven't done my page for tomorrow. That will be one job for then then...

On the other side of that desk I had some 'pours' drying - Sophie and I had been making some fairy doors, and painted pebbles...

Anyway that's it for September - October tomorrow and the run up to Halloween!

Happy WOYWW !!

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday? #643 /Blog Along With Effy Post 29

 WOYWW

Wednesday again, so I am linking to the Stamping Ground

Follow the link to find out more and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #643

Once again Effy is doing a month-long Blog Challenge on Facebook.
This will be my last but one share there too...

Here is today's desk shot:

This is the other side of my utility room and my little ironing board that is next to the press.
What I was doing was attaching a layer of serviette to a piece of card - using cling film. I had layers of baking parchment either side to protect my iron and my board. This is going to become a Halloween card...

There has been a slight easement of the Covid restrictions today - we can now go 15k from home...

If you have been reading my daily blogs with Effy,  you will have seen some of these photos. These are this weeks journal pages - first two use images from Michelle Grant Designs

This one uses an image from Gecko Galz

This is my current stage with Kate Crane's Wanderlust #39 - the second picture shows my other 'desk' - the other side of the utility room.

And on the floor - the start of some pages of a junk journal.

Hope you are all well - stay safe...
To finish- at last we have seen our grandson!!

Happy WOYWW !!

Addicted to Stamps and More #415 - die cuts/stencils

Here's my Die Cuts and Stencils project...for Challenge #415 at Addicted to Stamps and More

My card today was inspired by a journal page that I completed with Natalie May Scrapbooking

Rather than using a stencil I have used a mask - cut out of card. The background, placed on a white card blank, is from my Gelli plate using acrylic paint and a junk stamp made of bottle tops. I sponged black paint over the mask. Finally I added the sentiment, printed on the computer, trimmed and with added scribble.

Hope you will enter the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge!

Do hop over to see the fabulous inspiration from my team-mates!

Blog Along With Effy Post 28

Once again Effy is doing a month-long Blog Challenge on FacebookI thought I would share some more 'diary' posts, along with some of the crafty things I have been doing. Can you believe we only have two layers left??

Another beautiful day - so we headed for the beach again - the first photo was the best Kevin took of our daughter Sophie... Oops!
She had quite a lot to carry to the beach! But we had a lovely picnic and then she went on to the water.

Before we set off the weather was warm enough for Kevin's painting...

And I finished off a journal page. The image is from Michelle Grant Designs

Blog Along With Effy Post 27

Once again Effy is doing a month-long Blog Challenge on FacebookI thought I would share some more 'diary' posts, along with some of the crafty things I have been doing.

We came back to live in Australia on February 23rd, 2020, just before Covid hit. Since then we have spent 40% in strict lockdown and then a lot more time in restrictions...

Little did  we know that once here we would not be able to just jump on a plane again...

Anyway... I had another beautifully wrapped parcel arrive.

This one was from Natalie May - it is just so easy in lockdown to just click online...

The weather was lovely today - managed to sit out for a bit - and Kevin got some painting done (note that I found that I still had that tree jumper...)

Blog Along With Effy Post 26

Once again Effy is doing a month-long Blog Challenge on FacebookI thought I would share some more 'diary' posts, along with some of the crafty things I have been doing.

Sorry about yesterday's post - I really cut it short! My first picture today is a 7 year old memory of my lovely Mum (sadly she passed away last year). She had just tried some tikka masala...

Yesterday I showed you  a seedling in our veggie plot - but actually the peas and beans and sweetcorn now look like this today:

We have just come back from a lovely trip to the beach to have fish and chips for tea - and see Ollie again. He is now 8 weeks old!

So what else has been exciting today? Well despite it being Sunday I had a parcel arrive.

So beautifully wrapped - this is my packet of goodies for a virtual retreat in a few weeks!

As regards crafting, I got my sewing machine out. My first task was to sew this cross-sitch panel o to a hand towel.

My second task was to do some paper stitching - the oval was for a card (see the previous post); the rest are for my Wanderlust page.

The door opens to a few pages:

My third task was this - to stitch the puffin back on the mainsail of that boat Kevin is renovating.

To finish, today's sunset...
