I am joining in with the 2021 Cat lovers hop
Do pop over and find all the details on Janis' Her Peaceful Garden blog
Like last year I intend adding 5 kitty makes to the hop.
This are my next makes for the Cat Lovers Hop.
And again like last year, I thought I would share some more vintage Halloween
postcards (with cats) from Vintage Image Craft
Here are some marvellous postcard illustrations, circa 1910, by the prolific Ellen H. Clapsaddle.
But then yesterday I saw Nan's cat bench - a design by Lucy at Paper Glitter Glue and I thought that might be a start for my scene. However whether the rest will be for next year I don't know!! The little witch used to belong to my Mum...
The backgrounds are a reddish card matted with a paper from my stash.
The sentiment is from Leigh's sentiments, printed, cut into pieces and distressed with vintage photo Distress Ink.
I will add these to the main hop post.
During October you will have seen many Halloween-y projects on my blog as I am joining in with
Happy Hopping!
=^-^=
Oh my! You've been busy. ATCs and a Halloween diorama!
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage postcards. They are so cute. Your mom's witch is great. How nice to have it. The ATC's are great and thanks for making it a wee bit bigger so I could read the sentiment from left to right. It cracks me up. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to display your ATC cards! This year we're in a temporary rental house while we build a home addition so not much decorating for halloween, which makes me sad. I love Halloween decorations...and black cats make it even more fun.
ReplyDeleteI used to make ATC cards to swap and trade and really should start up again as I always enjoyed the smaller format. These Halloween cat ATCs make a fun little story line, with the continuous sentiment.
ReplyDeleteThe cards look fabulous and nothing is better in silhouettes than black cat! Love your box, it looks like the stage is set and a story to be set forth! Happy hopping visit from Cat Lovers Hop!
ReplyDeleteWaving hi from the Cat Lovers Hop! I love all your ATCs (I'm an ATC fanatic...) and your work on your Halloween diorama is a fabulous start! LOVE the little witch!
ReplyDeleteYour ATCs are gorgeous, such great details and love the black cats! And what a great idea to make a Halloween diorama scene with the wooden box. I'm sure it will look fabulous when finished. Love what you have added so far with the spooky tree in the background!

I totally forgot that there is a 5 make limit for the hop and I should have made a pocket letter so I could get a lot more in!! lol You reminded me I need to do this with all your fabulous ATC's to get around that rule. lol I can't wait to see the finished diorama - and that purr-fect bench is a great start with Mum's witch resting upon it. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour diorama is amazing already! I love that the little doll was your Mum's and is sitting on the cat bench! The tree sets them off so well! That sentiment with the black cats makes me laugh cos it makes so much sense! Wonderful ATC's! I am enjoying the postcards so much and I forget to say so :( but they are great!
ReplyDeleteFabulous ATCs love the cats!

ReplyDeleteYep....or the cat crossing the road is like the cat going in/out-in/out the door...just because it is there. Cats! lol...
