             WOYWW

Wednesday again, so I am linking to the Stamping Ground

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #660

So what's on my workdesk? Well much the same as last Wednesday. So my picture is off my crochet!

Once again we are over in Newlands Arm at our youngest son's, looking after the granddaughters while he has gone away with work. With Christmas coinciding with the long Summer school holidays, it gets quite complicated. With the girls back at school next week it will be easier. The only Crafting I did last week was for a few DTs so will not be shared until the appropriate dates.

Of course, l did bring the temperature blanket. We are still definitely in the warm colours! I use an app on my phone which predicts the Max temp each day. I then keep an eye on the actual temperature to see if it gets higher!

Last week we went to the tennis.  We always try to get to the Australian Open and this year we managed two days.

Dan made this gift of me and Ollie - we had a family barbecue when we got back from the camping trip.

Finally, trying to keep cool on Sunday we went for a quick paddle on the lake. Kevin managed to fall in.

Hope you are all well - stay safe... I hope I will have craft to share next week!

Happy WOYWW !!

  3. What a lovely busy week you’ve had! Hooray for getting to the tennis, hopefully it was an exciting match! And how lovely to be looking after the grandkids as well. The blanket is coming along nicely, I think my OCD would kick in if the temperature dictated a colour I wasn’t happy with!

  5. Wow, great you got to the tennis. Who did you see? We just get an hour of highlights on the BBC. There have been some great matches this year. Your temperature blanket is looking great. Have you set up a colour key? If so perhaps we could see it next week?
    Take care and happy WOYWW

    1. We went for two days so saw 6 matches in Rod Laver Arena. But it is televised continually so we can keep up. We saw two men's singles and 4 women's. The winners were Nadal (against Giron), Medvedev (against Kyrgios), Osaka, Sakkari, Sabalenka and Cornet.
I showed our colour key last week. However Sophie and I have been discussing whether we need to change the ranges for the cold colours...we may never get some of the colours otherwise. We have been going through a very hot spell - I may need to buy more orange!

  6. Morning Susan. My word - you have been busy! You got to the Australian Open... oooo. My dream is to go to Wimbledon one day. Never got there yet, though. I am assuming that the crochet is your colour blanket? Glorious colours - ours would be very much at the cold end at the moment. I think it hasn't been above 5 degrees C for quite some time, so would definitely be blues being crocheted. My younger daughter is finishing doing last year's temperature blanket - not far for her to go now.
    Take care. God bless.

    1. I went to Wimbledon when I was 18 (1970) but never managed to get tickets again. I have always gone to the Australian Open when we have been here in January - probably 8 times. It was amazing to see Agassi and his contemporaries 20 or so years ago.

  12. Hi Susan! You crochet blanket looks like it will be nice and warm when it's finished! I remember making a green one similar to yours ages ago. It's so funny that we are experiencing opposite weather! Going outside today feels like -25°C with the wind chill, I could use some of your heat today! Lovely to see some summery and warm pics on a day like today. Enjoy! Lindart #27

  14. Oh you really are experiencing some heat, the colours on the blanket are going to be a step change at some point, it is fascinating. I wonder if Kevin fell into the lake accidentally on purpose? The thought of a quick dunk in the hat must be very attractive! Beautiful few seconds of you and Ollie,, isn’t he doing well!
