Leigh's Gothic Valentine Blog Hop Post #1

Happy Valentine's Day! 
I said earlier in the month that my February Posts would contain a lot of Hearts.
Some of you know that Valentine's Day is also our Wedding Anniversary.
Anyway when I saw Tracy Weinzapfel's mixed media workshop included a heart I had to do it - this was the result:


But it is also the start of Leigh's Gothic Valentine Hop - so more hearts!!

This is my Day #1 Post!

As usual I will try to re-post something from before and post something new each day...

Once again I am starting by sharing one of my favourites -my Valentine ATC box (made by decorating an old whisky box) and some matching ATCs.


For these I used Leigh's Distressed Splatter Heart.





Today I am sharing two more ATCs using that Distressed Splatter Heart.


I printed the image on both white and a patterned paper.
I painted the hearts with shimmery water colour.
I trimmed these to size and added them to grey card blanks.
The words are from an Art by Marlene sticker book. As a final touch I added penwork.
