Our Song/Rhyme this fortnight is from Lorie
October
by John Updike from A Child's Calendar
The month is Amber,
Gold and Brown.
Blue ghosts of smoke
Float through the town.
Great V’s of geese
Honk overhead.
And maples turn
A fiery red.
Frost bites the lawn.
The stars are slits
In the black cat’s eye
Before he spits.
At last, small witches,
Goblins, hags,
And pirates armed
With paper bags.
Their costumes hinged
On safety pins,
Go haunt a night
Of pumpkin grins.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IF YOU DO NOT TELL US WHAT INSPIRED YOU, YOUR CARD/PROJECT WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE PRIZE DRAW!
Now on to the challenge!
I have made a trio of ATCs using Autumn Wheelbarrow inspired by 'pumpkin grins'
to stay up with all the challenges.
Thanks for playing along!
These ATCs are also my second make for the 31 Days of Halloween Challenges...
