WOYWW 710

WOYWW

How can it be Wednesday again?

Anyway I am linking to the Stamping Ground and I really hope I can leave comments for everyone this week. The BIG NEWS is that we are finally connected - and I have internet!! No more hotspotting - so blogging and commenting should suddenly be much easier!

Plus our visitors from afar have now finally stayed for their last night - so things are getting back to normal - or at least they will when I have put away all the washed bedding... Kevin goes back to Egypt of Friday - so it is going to be very quiet!

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #710

Anyway here's my worktable:

This is the first time I have touched a journal since November! I am starting a spread on kraft pages in a new Dina Wakley Media Journal.
This is also following Wanderlust Week #1 to some extent.

I had a few questions about the temperature blanket. Like how far apart do Sophie and I live? Our blankets are similar but not the same...

Basically Sophie lives about half an hour's drive away and sometimes that meant a difference of the odd degree but sometimes she would be away somewhere or I would be at Matty's (three hours away). We each used the max temp that day wherever we were. WE are both so pleased that we no longer have a row to crochet each day! Mind you I have to decide on a new project...

In the meantime this is quite nice:

Happy WOYWW!

  4. That’s so great that you finally have the internet, that’ll make life easier! Hope you spend lots of time crafting when everyone has gone home. My temp blanket would be shades of grey as it’s rained pretty constantly for ages now!

  5. Well you answered my question. Funny how different they are when you are not THAT far away. Also interesting that you did the rows based on your location ON THE DAY rather than your home location. I'll bet you are relieved not to HAVE to do a row. I would be the same. Congrats on the connection. 'Bout time :D
    HAPPY WOYWW!

  6. The weather always amazes me as how it can change from one area to another . . .made for some interesting blankets though.
So pleased you are back among us. We had news that our broadband prices in the UK are going to be hiked up in March . . . . . made me wonder if I needed it and decided, very quickly, yes! I do!
    Lovely photo of you both.
    Have a good week

  7. A temperature blanket here would be rather different colours to yours. I hope you enjoy the quiet life once your visitors have gone.

  8. So glad to hear that you have internet and that life is returning to some semblance of normality, even if it will feel rather quiet. I look forward to seeing the finished journal pages. Happy WOYWW. Take care of yourself, with love & God Bless, Caro x (#12)

  10. Wonder if i could get away with a blanket in your colours despite the temperature being vastly different? Not that I intend to start - I can crochet but not join them up so it would be just a long chain.
Enjoy wanderlust, have never joined in as I cannot commit to something for a month let alone a year.

  11. I love the idea of Wanderlust and look forward to seeing your progress with it. Unfortunately I know I wouldn't be able to keep up with it as I have so much on with my mum and the crafting just has to take place whenever. Maybe one day. Visitors are lovely but they can make extra work but the place always feels quiet when they've gone too. I love the colours in your blanket and I've decided I need more colour in my art work this year. Thanks for the visit to mine and wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x13x

  12. oh wow I bet you are so pleased to have internet again!! How strange about the blankets, but I guess it's rather nice that they are bot unique!! Weell done for finishing the project. UFOs are the bane of my life. Nowadays I spend so much trying to catch up I don't have time to do anything new!! Happy WOYWW, love n hugs Cindy xx #11
