Get Inky! Hand made Flower!

 Challenge #3 has just started over at Get Inky!
This week the theme is to use a handmade flower!

Here is my DT inspiration...



I started with a square white card base and layered two vertical strips of card and DP to start. 
I then printed the heart digi from Blue Mountain Creations -
 it actually came with the January Inky Moonbeams Club Newsletter!
The words on the heart are 'love' in many languages!
I mounted this onto some more DP from my stash and glued it in place.

Then to my flower...I have just started some classes in Indian embroidery and made this flower:


I decided to repeat it on a white paper die-cut flower for the centre of my card choosing pink beads and sequins.


I then layered up several white flowers but decided they needed some colour...so I smeared some distress ink onto my craft mat, spritzed it with water and allowed the colour to seep into the petals.
So this was my finished card:
