This is another make for the Cat Lovers Hop
I am joining in with the 2019 Cat Lovers Hop
Do pop over and find all the details on Janis' Her Peaceful Garden blog
This was supposed to have been posted yesterday evening but we didn't get home until late... My husband Kevin had something to do in London for work - so we decided to both go and make a day of it. We visited the Tate Modern and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
The day 4 game is to write a short poem - so all day I was thinking of rhymes and couplets...
Pussycat, Pussycat where have you been?
I've been up to London to visit the Queen,
Pussy cat, Pussycat what did you there?
I frightened a little mouse under her chair!
At the V & A I came across this postcard:
This features Edward Lear's C is for Cat
C was a lovely Pussy Cat;
its eyes were large and pale;
And on its back it had some stripes,
and several on his tail.
Still not too inspired, I decided to write a haiku - 17 syllables; 5, 7, 5
Our furry feline?
Nope, but still he calls each day!
Maybe there'll be food?
A couple of days ago I mentioned some cat tags - This one uses one of Laurel Burch's images, from Stampendous. Thank you Stampendous for sponsoring the Cat Lovers Hop!!
Today I am sharing a couple of ATCs using the same stamp!
Recipe:
- White card.
- Background using 3 colours of Distress Oxide through stencil onto kraft, then spritzed with water.
- Images stamped, coloured with Copics and cut out.
- Embellishments - small adhesive tiles from docrafts Papermania Country Life
Great poems (especially your haiku), fab tag and gorgeous ATC's, Susan! Those tiles on the top are such lovely embellies. xxD
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these funny poems!
ReplyDeleteI love your tag and your ATCs!!! Great work!!!
I love these Laurel Burch images I've seen throughout the hop. Loving your poetic verses and your tags.
ReplyDeleteYour tags and that cute poem are wonderful, Susan! I think any cat who visit regularly or who accepts food is 'claimable' as yours, at least on a part time, shared custody basis. lol
ReplyDeleteThose ATCS are so colorful and fun and I love the laurel Burch images that you used. Thanks for sharing your cat haiku and projects on the Cat Lovers hop!
ReplyDeletePawsome poems and ATC's. These are so pretty. I always love a Laurel Burch design.
ReplyDeleteGreat Poems, Love them all!
ReplyDeleteAll these are fantastic! You've been busy! ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Leslie

ReplyDeleteWow....I wish I had the day to spend in London! Sounds like you had a lovely day out. What a fun postcard you shared, too. Sweet that it had that verse on it....purrfect for our Cat Poetry Daily Game theme.
ReplyDelete[BTW....I absolutely LOVE this part of our Hop...how our blog posts are personal, NOT just a robotic "Here's my project and the challenges I am entering....hope I win a prize." Sharing your trip to London and the postcard you picked up adds so much!! THANKS to all of you who do this!!]
Love your Laurel Burch tag and ATCs...fab coloring!! The tag is so pretty with the fluffy bow and cool background. Love the adhesive tiles on the ATCs in all the right colors. Great projects!!!
Thank you so much for playing along in the #2019CatLoversHop!!
