The Blog Hop linky party opens Oct 1st at 5 past midnight PDT and ends at midnight on Oct 31st!
I will be sharing today's Halloween make on Leigh's page...Day 1
~~~~~~~
Today I am sharing another page from my Halloween scrapbook.
When Witches go riding and Black Cats are seen.
The Moon Laughs and Whispers Tis’ Near HALLOWEEN !
Recently I treated myself to this fabulous stamp from Noolibird.
On today's page I have used this stamp and the poem by Eleanor Farjeon.
Eleanor was born in London in 1881, educated privately, she wrote childrens stories and fantasy stories, and soon became popular with both children and adults.
Cats sleep, anywhere,
Any table, any chair
Top of piano, window-ledge,
In the middle, on the edge,
Open drawer, empty shoe,
Anybody's lap will do,
Fitted in a cardboard box,
In the cupboard, with your frocks-
Anywhere! They don't care!
Cats sleep anywhere.
As on each preceding page I have made a collage of tags:
The technique on this tag is Distress Stain: Stained texture
(Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry LIVE 2017).
Method:
- Apply opaque texture paste through a stencil with a palette knife.
- Allow to air dry.
- Spray dry textured surface with Distress Stain and blend colour with water if required.
- Dry with heat tool.
- Blot textured areas with damp paper towel to lift colour.
The technique on this second tag is Wrinkle Free Distress.
Method:
- Smear several colours of Distress ink on craft sheet
- Mist heavily to produce droplets of colour.
- Press tag into the ink and dry with heat tool.
- Repeat.
- I added the cat stamp embossed in black embossing powder.
The technique on the tag behind the words of the poem is Archival Resist.
Method:
The technique on this final tag is Distress Markers - direct to stamp.
Method:
- With different Distress Markers colour randomly onto the stamp.
- Breathe onto the inked image and stamp onto tag.
- Spritz with water to let colour wick out and dry with heat tool.
- Repeat the procedure to layer images using same stamp or a different one.
- Distress edges with suitable Distress Ink.
- I added the cat stamp embossed in black embossing powder.
This is also my first make for the Cat Lovers Hop
