If you have been reading some of my posts you will know that when I saw Effy's Blog Along I thought I would share some 'diary' posts, along with some of the journal pages I have been pleased with. I am enjoying taking a trip down Memory Lane!
However once again we have been out and about - the weather has been pretty ferocious today!
And then I had computer issues... so I thought I would just talk about this journal page in this post.
The theme is 'Spirit Trees' and inspired by a Wanderlust Workshop by Nicole Warrington. Further inspiration came from this photo that I spotted in the Guardian and also the dead trees of Australia.
I do love trees - just look at the bark on this one - and the one at the top of the page:
I started my journal page with a layer of gesso across a double page:
Next came watercolour in blue and black, followed by splashes of isopropyl alcohol.
Then I added splatter in gold and black.
Next I added my trees with white Posca pen.
Just beautiful! I love how you drew the trees and your found poem is amazing. One of my favorite things to do. It is time-consuming but so worth it.
