If you have been reading some of my posts you will know that when I saw Effy's Blog Along I thought I would share some 'diary' posts, along with some of the journal pages I have been pleased with. I am enjoying taking a trip down Memory Lane! Today's memories are good and bad... April 11th was the date my Dad left the Navy (or joined it - I can't quite remember). 40 years ago today my brother Andrew married his wife Kathryn, so today is their Ruby wedding. 43 years ago today I had a crash in my lovely little flame MG Midget, wrote it off and ended up in hospital for 3 months with a fractured pelvis...
So once again I am just going to share a journal page.

I took the image and cut it out from her background, adding to her my background formed with paint, stencils and stamps. I added black Stabilo pencil around her and added water with gave a shadow effect.
Finally I added the Tim Holtz sentiment.
I love that page! And three months in hospital? Wow! So glad you recovered!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and thanks for the links!
ReplyDeleteI love your journal cover! What a lot of memories for one day too. Three months in the hospital, wow! That was a long time. I'm glad for you that's over and you've healed.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful page. The frame reminds me of the little shrines built into walls in Italy.
ReplyDeleteI am betting that fractured pelvis hurt! Glad you recovered.
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous is your Journal Page!

Thankyou for the inspiration. I seem to have a huge block about putting too much stuff on the page. This has inspired me to try for busier pages, and layers.
ReplyDeleteLove it, so gorgeous! Poor MG, and glad you recovered.
