Sneaky Peek of a new collection from Dragons Lair Designs

On the first of January a new collection will be launched at Dragons Lair Designs -
the Cinnamon Spice collection!

I was fortunate enough to receive a mini-kit to play with.
I printed out a few pieces in various sizes....

These are really my colours! Gorgeous!

I have also been looking at flip cards - just a small rectangle of card, scored cut and folded to flip and show two sides of a central shape.

I have a Sizzix die which automatically cuts this for a heart:

But it is easy enough to make these by hand using a score board and a craft knife -
  this is my rough plan...

Having looked at the Cinnamon Spice collection I thought I could use the circular wreath image in a circle 'flip'.

Here is the front of the card on my craft mat:

and the flip side showing a greeting:

I added tea dye distress ink to all the edges...
Finally here it is standing up:

Just a very simple idea!!

Happy Crafting!

LOC Special Two week Challenge - Delicious Darkness and Smeared Ink REMINDER

Hi! I wanted to remind you about the current LOC Challenge - we are now midway!!

You may have been following the posts showing  my fat book for the
Smeared Ink 12 Days of Creepmas.

First I wanted to share a picture of my finished project...

And this picture shows all the pages inside:

I have used Smeared Ink images on many of the pages!

For more details please look back through my blog - for example
 find Day 12 here!

But my new project for today uses
Brass The Steampunk Reindeer from Smeared Ink -

I started by making an ATC from an embossed 3.5 x 2.5 in. rectangle
with tea dye distress ink to bring out the embossing.

I masked the image with two sides of a ripped piece of paper and added colour between,
using tea dye and festive berries distress ink. I added tea dye around the image too.
I then added some cogs and gems, and finally red liquid pearls to the reindeer's nose.

This then became a feature on my main card:

I used the same process with the larger image, this time matted onto black embossed paper.
Finally I added wooden 'Happy's, also coloured with tea dye distress ink.
I will also share this with Smudgy Antics Challenge #1

Do share your Black Christmas creations with us at LOC

Happy Crafting!

Thank you for all the comments you are leaving me!
I am really enjoying the fact that so many of you are SINGING ALONG!!
(Of course I am singing!!)
Btw I will announce the winner of my ODD ONE OUT competition on Day 12
so there's still time to have a look on Day 8 and email me...
So here comes Day 11... and it's...
I started with these 3 die cut steampunk owls cut using a Cheery Lynn die and my Bigshot,
and mounted on black card. I rounded the corners and of course added googly eyes!
Another layer of red card...

And they are out hunting...so 3 little rats - a small woodblock stamp I got in Hong Kong I think.

With my usual computer printed titles, here we have the page...

Do I hear you say there are only 3 owls??

Well...the other 8 are a pop-up under the three.

That's it for today,,,

So... so far we have
On the Eleventh day of Creepmas my true love sent to me...
Eleven Owls Out Hunting,
Ten puzzle pieces,

 Nine Cats Meowing,
Eight Grinning Gargoyles,
Seven Spiders Swinging, (or Spinning)
Six BITES of Jigsaw,

Five Scary Skulls
Four Red Balloons
Three Felt Hats
Two Googly Eyes

And a Raven in a Dead Tree!

Sketches...

For Day 10 of Creepmas please go here

I am on the DT of Sketch~N~Scrap
and today a new Card challenge starts.
This is the sketch - I do hope you will have a go and join in...

Here's my take on it:

The ribbon and DP are from my stash but 'Olaf' and the sentiment are from Sassy Studio Designs
and their progressive challenge on the SSD Facebook Group.

I made the following card for that challenge:

This was based on the other S~N~S December sketch:

You can still enter either sketch challenge until the end of December!

I got rather carried away with 'Olaf' - I have quite a few littlies who need cards!!

My next one is based on the sketch from Sketch N Stash

Again the DP was from my stash. I used tea dye distress ink and Promarkers for added colour.
I will link this to the Sketch N Stash challenge.

I then found the sketch at Sketch Saturday and rotated it through 90 deg.

I will link this to that challenge...finally I looked at the fusion challenge

This took my eye as I have been making 'pine cone' baubles...

Here's my card to link to this challenge:

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to win a prize courtesy of Bev Lowe and from Foil Play
Certain elements on the last two cards were from this Foil Play.
I would like to show you one of the cards I have made from this gift:

I will link this to Scribble and Scrap Anything Goes

Sorry this is so long  but I don't think I will be doing much posting over the Christmas period!

Wishing you a very happy Christmas and a wonderful 2015!

Happy Crafting!
