WOYWW #765

It is Wednesday so I am linking to the Stamping Ground

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #765

This is my desk today - we are back from our holidays, flying back on Saturday.
On the desk easel can be seen two of the junk journal pages I made using the cardboard box I upcycled:

The other journal page I haven't shared with you is this (which is at the top of the page). Some of the feathers are still on my desk...

All these were made before we went away.  I haven't really had the chance to do much crafting since we got back - just a few cards which will be blogged in the next few days... One is on the post before this, using up some of the butterflies that were on my desk!

Hope to get around to you all this week...

Happy  WOYWW!

Butterfly Challenge

This the current theme for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge #191 is A is for Anniversary Card

I have made a very simple card using a BeeArty paper and sentiment and some of the butterflies left on my desk using the foam stamp Butterfly from Scrapbookingncraft

This is the wheel - and colours

The colours I chose were Aero Blue, African Violet and Apricot - the pictures are a little dark so I hope you can recognise the colours.

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - Term 3 Post #12

This is my next inspiration for the Creative Warriors Inspiration Team

with Michelle Grant Designs

You will see our inspirational creations on the Facebook Group

Once again I am using  feathers from Annette's Bloom - a past Challenge.

I am also using an image from Michelle's Expand

Another page in my almost full  journal.
I prepped the page with acrylic paints in greens, blending them together, I then used a stencil in the same colours to add another layer. I stamped with a script stamp next in black archival.

The feathers had been printed  on a Gelli pull and cut out, with black soot Distress Ink around the edges. I also cut out the girl and added Distress around her.

I printed the sentiment on the computer adding black Posca lines and cut them out.

The last steps were to add Stabilo All around everything and white splatter.

WOYWW #764

It is Wednesday so I am linking to the Stamping Ground

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #764

No desk today!

We are on holiday in Western Australia first staying with my nephew and family in Perth. A bit of crafting there when the girls got us all making origami flowers.

It is lovely to be with my sister and her husband (who are over from Devon). Our first little trip was over to Rottnest Island for four days cycling, swimming and snorkeling. Rottnest is famous for its quokkas which are only found there and a couple of other places in the world.

Now we are at Margaret River for another 4 days.
On the way down we saw some amazing giant sculptures.

Today we went to various places including Cape Leeuwin which is the extreme South Western tip of Australia and where the Indian Ocean meets the Southern Ocean.

Hopefully next week I will be back to normal...
I managed to comment on half of you last week although I had some trouble with the internet!

Hope to get around to you all this week...

Happy  WOYWW!

Scrapbookinandcraft #7 January makes

I was delighted when Mel asked me to join her Design Team. I have enjoyed using stencils, chipboards and serviettes from Scrapbookingncraft for some years now...

Find our Design Team makes on Facebook HERE

My plan for the New Year was to make pages using upcycled cardboard - I received a really sturdy box in the mail which was too good to throw away. The idea was to make one a week - the fourth is not 'finished' as I am not quite that far into the month. The pages are about 16 by 20 cm or 6.25 by 8 in. Eventually I will punch a hole in a corner and connect them with a metal ring. I used acrylic paints to start on the backgrounds.

Week One

I started by adding acrylic paint in sections and then overlaying this in the same colours with the stencil 6 by 6 All Stars.

I highlighted the stars with white Posca.

I added black paint to the Chipboard Roman clock and around the edges of the page.

Finally I added a sentiment.

Week Two

I placed stripes of colour directly to the card and blended this out using a paintbrush.

I then used black acrylic and a foam blender through the stencil Medium Square Scattered Brain. I emphasised this with white Posca.

Then I added the black cardstock butterflies and the sentiment.

Week Three

Again I used acrylic paint and white Posca and the stencil 12 by 12 Collage Circles

I then added the sentiment and butterflies using an orange-y acrylic on white card and cut out. I initially tried stamping these directly but they were not visible enough. This used the foam stamp Butterfly

Week Four

This page is not quite finished...

Again a background of acrylic using use up colours. I then added the cardstock Asemic Writing

My plan next was to add the Chipboard Cathedral Window but I am still thinking about this - not sure if this is where I want to go...
