I always watch out for the new release from Oddball Art Stamps

I mentioned CCC#137 Cozy and Crafty from the Creepy Cute Chronicles! in my last post and that's what I am using today along with some other Oddball digis...

You will see a similar post on the Oddball blog,

I am sharing my inspiration for the first 5 prompts:

Prompt 1
The first prompt is to make a Gratitude ATC - and I shared this on my last post.

Recipe:
  1. Red card base.
  2. Background: Brushos with wax resist on embossing folder.
  3. Image Clever Dexter.
  4. Sentiment printed on computer.
Prompt 2
The second prompt is to Smash Something

Recipe:
  1. Red card base.
  2. Background: Layer of Stampin Up paper.

  4. Over stamped with Visible Image How Fragile in black.
  5. Sentiment printed on computer. Trimmed, Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges.

Prompt 3
The third prompt is Your Space. I thought CCC # 137 was perfect for my space. It is Cozy and Crafty - and where I concoct all my makes!

Recipe:
  1. Green card base.
  2. Background: Layer of wax resist background with embossing folder, white wax crayon and watercolour paint..
  3. Image CCC #137 Cozy and Crafty. Image printed, painted with shimmery watercolours and cut out. Sentiment printed and cut out.
  4. Small green sparkly embellishments.

Prompt 4
The fourth prompt is Doing Something New

Recipe:

  2. Background: Brown paper plus gesso, then watercolour and salt sprinkled on.

So that was my first 4 ATCs made - over half way!!

  2. Background: Embossing folder plus Distress Oxides.
  3. Image CCC #87 Haunted Cuckoo Clock. Images printed and cut out.

Catch Up...

So to catch up... I meant to have this ready for last week but we decided to go away for a few days, now that travel within Victoria is a little easier.

I always watch out for the new release from Oddball Art Stamps

The one last week from the Creepy Cute Chronicles! was

CCC#136 Premium Spooky Mail (I am using this)

but CCC#137 Cozy and Crafty is now available too.

You will see a similar post on the Oddball blog,
along with other posts you might like...

I printed the 6 motifs and painted them all with my shimmery watercolours. I then cut them out and decided to make a simple pop up.

Step One:

Using two glossy black card blanks, I scored and folded one of them at 1.25 inches both sides of the fold, and then glued them together.

Step Two:

I attached one motif on the outside or front of the card.

Step Three:

On opening, the other images are revealed.

Did you know that Oddball Art Co has an event on Lizzy Love's shop ?

Would love to see you join in!!

The first prompt is to make a Gratitude ATC - what are you grateful for?

The last months have been difficult for all of us what with Covid, restrictions, lockdowns...

On top of this I lost both my parents in the space of 3 months - in August and October. How often did I wish I could fly back to the UK in those months?
But I am in Australia and they were in the UK.

I am so grateful for the love and support of my family and friends during this tough time.
I am grateful for all the mail that I have received from them - I had thought I could use one of the images from CCC#136 on my ATC...

I have found that my craft room has been my lifeline - getting messy with paint.
I am so grateful that I have that outlet...

Then I remembered Maya Angelou's quote
'This is a wonderful day. I've never seen this one before.'

I decided my ATC needed to feature this, a messy background and a paintbrush...
I remembered Lizzy Love's Clever Dexter image drawn for the
where the current challenge is 'kindness' - you might want to join in there too...

The background is a wax crayon resist with Brushos. I placed paper over an embossing folder and did a rubbing with a white wax crayon, sprinkled on the Brushos and spritzed with water. I trimmed to size once it was dry.

Makers Gonna Make

I always watch out for the new release from Oddball Art Stamps

The current image from the Creepy Cute Chronicles! is

 CCC135 Premium Makers Gonna Make

It is nice to give away some of my cards - and it is even better to put them in a little folder that I have also made. Today I have made a folder to take some C6 size cards (about 4 by 6inches).

Step One:

Cut two T shaped pieces of card and score and fold as shown.

Step Two:

Glue the middle sections together and the flaps to form two pockets. Cut ribbon to tie around.

This will take the cards and envelopes...

Step Three:

Add the image to back and front - printed, trimmed and faux stitched around the edges with a fineliner.

Use the folder for a bundle of cards - the ones you can see here feature

I am going to link this to Catch The Bug's 11th Birthday Day 3 - Anything but a card.

Here the folder shows some of the Birthday cards it contains displaying Bugaboo images.

Fall Ghostie...

Every Friday I watch out for the new release from Oddball Art Stamps

Watch your email for this week's  Creepy Cute Chronicles! and info about

 CCC131 Premium Crisp Leaves

So here's a little ATC for you (2.5 by 3.5 inches).

Step One:

I made my background. This was a black card matted with a trimmed background using alcohol inks on my Gelli plate.

Step Two:

I coloured the little ghostie with markers and cut him out.
I added him to the background.

Step Three:

I added the sentiment cut into pieces and with black Distress around the edges, arranged randomly down the side.
Finally I added the felt leaf.

Maple Monster

Every Friday I watch out for the new release from Oddball Art Stamps

Watch your email for this week's  Creepy Cute Chronicles! and info about

 CCC129 Premium Maple Monster

Step One:

I made my background - I was using Crackling Campfire through a Tim Holtz leaf stencil to make this journal page the other day

Not sure if you can see the leaves in one of the layers...

Anyway the stencil was covered in ink so I spritzed it and slapped it down on a piece of water colour paper ending up with the negative leaf background.

I trimmed this to make a strip measuring about two thirds the width of a teal card base.

Step Two:

I printed the images, coloured them with Copics and cut them out out.
I then placed them over the background.

Step Three:

I added glossy accents to the eyes.
