Bugaboo Friday Freebie - Guest Designer

Once again Blogger has stripped links and some text from this post on publishing.
Trying to rectify now...

It is so easy to pick up the Friday Freebie from Bugaboo

I am enjoying very much being a Bugaboo Guest Designer - the images are great to play with!

Today's card started with a sort of teal blue card blank and I also used this card to die cut the sentiment. (I think this die came from Craftstash)

My background is  Scene It Ladybugs coloured with Copics, trimmed to size and with fineliner faux stitching around the edges.

I then simply added the image on dimensional tape, printed, coloured with Copics and then cut out.

A simple card but cute!

Happy Crafting!

LeighSB Designs Christmas in July Blog Hop #24

Once again LeighSBDesigns is hosting a blog hop
 to

This time it is to celebrate

Christmas in July Blog Hop 2020
hosted by
LeighSBDesigns Art Stamps

I am pretty sure this is my 24th
link up to LeighSB's Christmas in July - so I've made it - but I may well add a few more...

I have had this image on my desk for ages - it is the Outlawz July Progressive Challenge image and is Gingerbread Treat
from
Finally I got it coloured with a variety of pens. I then trimmed it and added a little Salty Ocean Distress In around the edges. I did the same with the sentiment after punching it with a SU punch.
Then all I did was place it on two layers of patterned paper on a white card blank.

I will add this card to Leigh's Linky.

I will also add it to The Build Your Stash Holiday Hop

Build Your Stash Holiday Hop

What is happening with this new blogger?
Things keep disappearing from my post...?
I am having to put the links in several times before they will stick....
Now the links are just going straight back to my blog...
This is frustrating - I thought issues like this were sorted a couple of weeks ago...

I only recently noticed
which is running between July 25th and August 1st

I have another card to add to this today:

I saw this image by Angie Blom and I just couldn't resist it!
I coloured it with a selection of pens, trimmed it to size and added faux stitching around the edges with a fineliner.

Yesterday I mentioned that I was trying different things with stencils - today I used metallic cream chalks through a stencil from Creative Expressions.

This is a little section of the background I created - straight onto the card blank.

I added faux stitching round the card blank too.

As well as the

I am also adding this card to
the Thursday Christmas Card Challenge
I actually remembered that it was Thursday today (!) so I can join in!!

will you join us?

I will also add this card to Leigh's Linky.

I am pretty sure this is my 22nd
link up to LeighSB's Christmas in July - I am trying to add something for each of the 24 days... so only 2 more days...

Today's card is just a very quick and simple one.
I was looking through my stencils (for another purpose) and I came across this Stamplorations one.

I thought I would just try painting through it with my Zig pens - not a perfect result but I quite like the shimmer and shine!

I trimmed the image and added faux stitching around it with a brown fineliner. I added this to a white card blank matted with a paper from crafterschoice Minerals 12 by 12 paper pad.
Finally I added a sentiment - die cut and added to a scrap of card, faux stitched and added on dimensional tape.

I will add this card to Leigh's Linky.

I will also add it to The Build Your Stash Holiday Hop

WOYWW 582 - What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday?

WOYWW

It's Wednesday and I am showing you my desk again...linking this post to the Stamping Ground.

Here's my desk picture for WOYWW 582!

Images to colour and some stencils I want to use with Distress Oxides...

I finished my quilt - and thought it would look nice hanging from the end of our IKEA bed.

Comment from my husband - couldn't you have made it wider?

As this was not purposely designed I may have to do just that - make something the correct shape. In my 'to do' box I have a number of swap squares, again from the time in India. Each of us appliqued a dozen or so squares and swapped so we each had one of each. Next step is to embroider them -of course I didn't get to that stage, so I am summoning energy to make a start on this!

Rather than something huge like this I turned to my little cross-stitch bag that I usually take on holiday... There's a few projects on the go in there.

I decided to finish this Christmas decoration that I started in time for last Christmas - at least it will be done by this Christmas!!

Finally, that lovely box - so far it has become another surface to put things on...

All for now... Happy Crafting and happy WOYWW - and thanks for visiting!

Butterfly Challenge - A is for Accordian Fold Card - Post #5

The theme for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge #144 is A is for Accordian Fold card.
and she gives instructions on how to make FIVE versions here
This is Version 4.
Mrs A goes through the process in the tutorial.

Hey Mrs A ... 5/5!!
I hadn't realised how tiny this version is...

The wheel is as follows:

Once again I have used the colours Apple Blossom, Apricot and Aquamarine.

I started making the base, belly band and die cuts in a pink card - 'Apple Blossom'.

My die cut pieces are from the Tonic ATC Collection Die sets - I made 5 because I was not sure if I would use one of these on the belly band - or the pink coffee cup die - this is a Stamplorations die, as is the sentiment. The coffee cups on the white die cuts are stamped on patterned paper using a Uniko stamp and cut out.

I used two patterned papers from this Alla Prima paper pack (mainly in apricot and aquamarine with a little pink) which I have had in my stash a long time!

The butterflies are die cut using Stampin Up's Beautiful Wings. I am onto my second one of these dies and I don't know how long this will last!!

Next - to make the belly band.

Still couldn't decide which one to go with...

Which one do you think?

I used to ties three of the butterflies together like this all the time some years ago...

Anyway... I quite like this version...

I will link this to the Butterfly Challenge #144 having used all elements.

Before I forget I also want to share this with
Lots of snippets used in this tiny card...
Love your card Di - those stamps are so cute!
Yes I would love to win but I am in Australia now!
