Leigh's Cherry Blossom Mer-Ween Blog Hop May 25th

This is my next post for

Some of you may remember the 12 by 12 Never-ending card that I made for Leigh's MerMay Blog Hop this time last year.
In this post I am re-sharing that make and will link it to LeighSB's Linky.

For more details of how I made the base please look at this post.

The first page included images from Oddball Art Co

The next page used images from Leigh's Oddleigh Mermaid and Friends Set.

This page is then opened 'up and down' to get to the next view. These lovely jellyfish are one of Ike's designs

At this stage I decided to add a shark using my Cricut and a free svg from SVGrepo and
the tail cut from Merwitch from LeighSBDesigns

When this is unfolded, the two side pieces are still visible:

Then the final page looked like this:

Leigh's Spring blog hop 2021...Day 3

 This is another post for

 LeighSB Designs spring-blog-hop-2021

This is my Day 3!

I am resharing a make from last  year using the Daffodil Trellis.

I printed this several times and coloured it with Copics, trimming each image to a 5.25 inch square and adding fineliner faux stitching around the edges.

Of course I could have just added one of these images to a black card base and made a simple card...

But I wanted to make them into a never ending card:

One still shot of the card:

If you would like the instructions to make a never ending card, I made a video tutorial some while ago...here is the video:

 Thank you for watching!

Cat Lovers Hop Day 5

This is my fifth and final make for the Cat Lovers Hop...

I am joining in with the 2020 Cat Lovers Hop

Do pop over and find all the details on Janis' Her Peaceful Garden blog

Anyway like last year, I thought I would share another vintage Halloween
postcard from Vintage Image Craft

If you have visited my blog before, you may know that I like to make never ending cards.
I decided to make one for this post!

These two pictures show the first and last faces:

I have uses Dyan Reavely edge stamps, and cat stamps that were a magazine freebie. I used kraft card to make the base and matted this with papers from Crafterschoice Bohemia Botanica.
I added most of the cat stamps on top of small die cuts in Kraft and white card.

This is a little video of how it unfolds:

I will add this card to the Cat Lovers Hop

Happy Hopping!

I am now onto my 12th post!

The problem with making this 12 by 12" never-ending card - it's a bit like my journal pages.
A work in progress - I always need to add a bit more!

For instance the side bits on here look a bit empty...

Mermaids have appeared in mythology for centuries - and often they were the rather wicked creatures luring seamen to their deaths. Not like 'The Little Mermaid'  of today. Mind you, I don't think the merpeople in Harry Potter were particularly benign.

My mermaid of the first page was ghoulish...

But after that Leigh's mermaid is timid, showing just her tail as she slips away, but also kind - warning of SHARKS...

I paper cut a shark using my Cricut - free svg from SVGrepo

I then added part of him to this page:

I added 'Watch Out!' and
the tail, again cut from Merwitch from LeighSBDesigns and coloured with Copics.

When this is unfolded, the two side pieces are still visible:

Some sharks eat jellyfish...

(Can you see the extra colour I added to the jellyfish?)
I have added a little to the final page too...

I will link today's shark addition to Leigh's MerMay Hop

Here is today's video - I think that's the finish!!

I am now onto my 11th post!

I am continuing with my 12 by 12" never-ending card - which has become a collection of sea-life... today I am showing you the 4th view.

I wanted this page to continue with the colour scheme  "Terracotta and Turquoise"
but also use real rubber stamps so that I could link it to the
Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Challenge # 98

I started by adding this beautiful paper to the sections of my final page - again from crafterschoice Minerals 12 by 12 paper pad.

I then stamped some images... the Octopus is from Pink Ink Designs, the Jellyfish are from Stampendous.

I then started thinking of colouring with Copics to try and stay within the colour scheme.
I practised with the jellyfish making a couple of ATCs:

The fish shoal is also from the Octopus set.

This is where I ended up:

So our mermaid loves the jellyfish but on sight of the octopus she turns tail!!

The tail is cut from Merwitch from LeighSBDesigns and coloured with Copics.
Another elusive mermaid, Lyneen...

Here is today's final version:

And today's page:

I will link today's page to Leigh's MerMay Hop

And also to the Dream In Darkness Blog

I am now onto my 10th post!

I am continuing with my 12 by 12" never-ending card - which has become a collection of sea-life...in my last post I showed you the start of the second page...

The images all came from Leigh's Oddleigh Mermaid and Friends Set.

I decided to add a few die cuts to finish off this page.

This page is then opened 'up and down' to get to the next view:

You are seeing the two side panels from the previous page again - and I have continued the die cuts at the bottom of these right across this page.

I added more background paper from crafterschoice Minerals 12 by 12 paper pad.
I was wondering about other friends that mermaids might have and thought about these lovely jellyfish.
This is one of Ike's designs   - I coloured them with Copics and cut them out.
The last time I remember using this image is some years ago when I made a fat page...

But here is today's version:

I also added some die cuts to the top and bottom squares - these are the ones at the bottom.

I will link today's page to Leigh's MerMay Hop  - look out for the final page tomorrow...
