Inspiration post for SLSLines

Here is my inspiration post for you this month using an SLSLines image.

This time I used Sugar Plum Fairy coloured with Promarkers.

Just a simple easel card - starting with a white card blank. The image was placed on a separate piece of white card matted with red.

I

The base and easel were matted with Christmas paper from my stash...the easel stays up using a sentiment places on dimensionals.

New Challenge at Crafting From the Heart

Moving on to our next  CHALLENGE  "always anything goes"

We have a great sponsor for you...

Beccy's Place

The super snowman image I am using is Sleepy Snowy

I just have an easel card to show you today...I started with a square card blank. This lies flat with the to side scored along the half way mark to form a 'mountain'.
To this I added a further square of white card. I matted this square and the base with Christmas paper from 'The Night Before Christmas' paper pack.
I used Promarkers to colour the image and then cut it out with a nesting die.
This was then added to the easel.
Two chipboard birds from my stash were used to keep the easel on place.

I love this image!!
I will link this to Crafting With Attitude Challenge #9
Look forward to seeing your makes at Crafting from the Heart!

New Releases at SLSLines

Today I want to spotlight this super new image from SLSLines

I made this lovely little easel card with it...the image was coloured with Promarkers, fussy cut and attached to some sparkly card.

The easel was matted with sparkly paper from my stash.
This is how it looks as it comes out of the envelope:

The stand is a chipboard shape from my stash...

You will find other SLS New Release makes here

Another Alice ATC

I recently hopped through the celebration hops at Through the Craft Room Door - now on week 3!

TTCRD BLOG

I was lucky enough to win a prize - 2 digi's from The Stamping Boutique

This ATC uses Alice in Wonderland Keyhole - an image that has been on my wishlist for a while - and one that I thought was appropriate (Through the Craft Room Door?)

Redcard matted with torn handmade paper from India, a little Promarker on the image, torn out and distressed with 'worn lipstick' and two keys added...

I will link this to Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #185

New Challenge at Creative Fingers

A new Challenge starts today at Creative Fingers

This challenge we're being sponsored by

http://faeryink.com/

The theme is as always Anything Goes
The team were kindly given some images to play with - and I was lucky enough to use
Valentine Angel - which became a Christmas Angel, coloured with Promarkers.
This is a 'flip card' base - I started with a Christmas green purchased base - and matted this with paper from FSC 'The night Before Christmas' paper pack.

The sentiment on the flip side came from 'Cosy Christmas' mat pack - a member's freebie from Create and Craft, distressed with 'evergreen bough'.

Finally I added some snowflakes...

Do go over and see the winners of the last Challenge and what the CF DT have made!!

Hope you will join the Creative Fingers Challenge!

LOC Challenge #105

The Challenge that starts today at Left of Center
is 'Add a Sentiment'
sponsored by Alicia Bel

I have used A Lass with a Turkey in an ATC -
I coloured the image with Promarkers and glitter and fussy cut her out.

The background and base were snippets from my scraps - and the button and twine from my stash.

I found the sentiment online...

Looking forward to seeing your LOC projects!

Smeared and Smudged November 2015 Member Blog Hop

SMEARED AND SMUDGED MEMBER BLOG HOP
Fiona
Titbelsoeur
Susan R. - You are here!

Susan S.

There aren't many of us this time so do hop through and see what there is to see -
all will be posted today by 9am PST!

This is my make:

So first my grunge-y background...
I don't suppose I would try this technique on my own - it's the sort of experiment my husband and chemistry teacher daughter like to play with.

Here is a link on Flickr to the video I made of preparing my board or see it on facebook here

Hope you can see one of the links - the video is rather long but watching a little will give you the idea ...basically electricity is passed through a piece of plywood coated with sodium bicarbonate solution to produce burnt figures. The electricity is produced using a microwave transformer.

This is the result: burnt, grimy, dirty - grunge-y!

I also photographed it to print out (smaller) twice in a sort of greyscale...

I printed two skulls straight onto the wood using a Smeared Ink rubber stamp designed by Rick St Dennis and Versafine.

Next, taking copies of the photograph I overprinted with Teri Sherman's Bah Humbug Tree.

I added colour with Promarkers, paperpieced the skulls with beige paper and distressed the skulls and edges with Scattered Twigs.

For the 'Bah Humbug' I used chipboard letters, applying black gesso on texture paste printed with a rubber texture stamp from Lost Coast Designs.

Finally I added a sparkly skeleton and two clip on sparkly spiders:

As you can see it is 'Creepmassy'!

Hope you will join me in 12 Days of Creepmas in December!
